Its a great product but if youre trying to install this until your tow hitch you need a good hammer to wack the pen in!

I use these to allow my trailer chains to hook into my truck, they work well for allowing the larger attachment hooks to go on and off more easily. When installing I found that it took three hands a,two hammers and patience to get them to go together correctly but once they go together and installed I have not had any problems with them.

2017 duramax had too big of safety holes for my boat trailer hooks. Bought these, no more issues

These 12,000 lb links worked wonderfully with our 2022 F250 Ford truck. As others have mentioned many trailer safety chain hooks are difficult to snap on and unhook from the late model Ford truck trailer hitches. To simplify installation of these links we discard the pins and bushings, and use Grade 8 bolts to secure the two links together. Use: Two 3/8-24 TPI Grade 8 bolts (4 long). Two 3/8-24 TPI Grade 8 Nylon Insert Lock Nuts (Often called aircraft lock nuts). Four 5/16 (not 3/8) Grade 8 Flat Washers. (3/8 washers work but are loose and stick out on edges). All available at most good hardware stores and ranch supply stores. Install time: 3 minutes for both links. We have five late Ford trucks equipped this way. Super sanitary clean looking installation. One F150, one F250, and three F350s.

I am using these for tow chain hookups for my 2017 F250 I have a Class 5 receiver and its too big to hold my regular safety chains. The product showed up on time and seems to be very strong, (they are rated at 12,000 LBS). I went with Red and they look good on my truck. Looks like the paint on the shackle will hold up well. You need a hammer to install the pin through the holes once you line up the piece that is included in the order. I tow a number of utility trailers and a couple of boats. Nothing I tow is over 10,000 LBS. I will add to this review if there are issues. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

After installing hitch lights on my truck I need a way to reach behind them to hook up my trailer chains. In the pictures I have attached you can see why I needed them. The hitch lights made it impossible to get to the holes on the hitch slide. I did have a little trouble getting the locking pin through the connector link. Installing them is defiantly a 2 person job. Other than that great product. By adding the Connecting link I am now able to hook my trailer chains to them. I also love the red color because all the ascents on my truck are red and they tie into my color scheme nicely.

They were great, then I sold them with the truck!

Very happy with these. They fit my truck AND my trailers (small trailer and 6,000 lb boat). I bought a hook from a different manufacturer originally, only to discover that it was too thick for my trailer connectors.
