Radioddity CB-27 Pro 40-Channel Mini Mobile CB Radio with AM/FM Instant Emergency Channel 9/19, 4W Power Output, VOX, RF Gain, and Handheld Mic

Am an FCC-licensed Advanced Class radio operator since 1974 and a CB mobile (and legal) operator for years prior. This Radioddity CB-27 rig is superb. Great receive audio; excellent apparent selectivity; precise and repeatable squelch setting; ease of set-up and use; very convenient mobile installation (due to impressively small size). Highly recommend.

Really like it. right size from my installation.

I would recommend spending a little more and getting an easier to understand and use unit.

Smaller than I expected but works fine

Radio is perfect. Its very compact! I am not securing it but stowing in the console! With the bracket, I have hung it on my Wrangler latches over the passenger dash. Its out of the way with handset over the mirror!

I love most everything about this radio. Good size, great build quality, easy to use. There are two things I would change. One, give me a regular mic port, so I can change mics if mine breaks. Two, that hanger system for the mic? Garbage. Switch to a button or magnetic holder. Other than that. Buy it.

This was one of the few radios I could find that would fit in the small radio area of my car. Its decent but it has a few flaws. 1. The boot on the 8P8C connector for the mic does not fit into the hole, so it falls off when in use. 2. The loudspeaker makes a horrible loud noise when starting the device. 3. Squelch is hard to access requiring that you enter the menu then use the microphone to adjust it. I wish this was a knob instead for easy access when driving... 4. The microphone is very cheaply made and the switch on the side does not seem to do anything. After opening it up, I discovered that there is no switch installed and two of the wires in the cable are cut off... Not sure why? (UPDATE: This switch is not mentioned in the manual, maybe it does something in a different model?) 5. It is difficult to properly wire this into your car like most people would be doing with it, you need to cut the cable that it came with because there is no connector between the car plug and the radio... The fuse is also very close to the body of the radio meaning you need to cut the wires close to the radio if you want to use your fuse box in your car instead.

So far so good. Simple radio with modern features. Everything works. Strong build. I cut the cigarette lighter plug and wired directly to the posts in my Freightliner. A small radio in size. Pretty decent speaker. Change channels with microphone. No option for different micrphones because of the plug.
