Best expansion set yet; (yes, I own them all, including the promos)!!! LOVE, love, love all of the new elements this game introduces! Definitely not for beginners but dont be afraid to give these cards a try! They appear intimidating initially but, as with any set, if you simply take a moment to read each card and follow instructions, they are self-explanatory! The recommended kingdom sets are ridiculous, as usual, and youll have way more fun if you choose to create your own meeting your individual fun game standards. I prefer to have at least one +2 actions card, one +1 buy card, 1 attack card and at least one card at each buy level. Give this a try; youll be so happy you did! As an avid table top gamer Dominion has long been one of my favorite deck builders and when I needed to replace my original base set Amazon made it easy and affordable. I highly recommend it to someone looking for a game that offers endless ways of play and a game where no two rounds are ever the same. Though youll learn to hate the Bandid card like I do lol

Great game, but the component quality has dropped significantly. The cards are thinner.

I own all the large box dominion expansions (through Nocturne at the time of writing). This one is my favorite. It can be wildly complex. There always seems to be many paths to victory. It plays great as a stand-alone expansion, and the event cards especially enhance any dominion set. Possesses a wonderful balance of introducing new concepts and of revisiting old ones. Full of cards that can alter future turns. If you were to view this as a stand-alone game, I’d say it is the best deck-builder I have ever played. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn’t mind a little complexity.

Fun new expansions for Dominion are always welcome. This one is just as fun as the others, bringing back duration cards and a more extensive upgrade mechanic. However, this expansion includes lots of tiny pieces (more than just coins and mats), that are only used for specific cards. I feel like the designers could have tried harder to incorporate fewer pieces among a broader range of the new cards.

This is a complete new spin on the game. My friends and I have had a blast playing it so far! Really changes up the stack your deck with action/+1 card strategy.

This, along with Renaissance, are my two favorite dominion expansions(and I own all of them). A big part of why I personally love this set so much is the wide variety of interesting mechanics, but I can see why that might make it less appealing to others, who maybe find everything a bit too much to take in. I personally had no problems learning it, but I gave it four stars, because my love of such things makes it much easier for me to learn, than the average person, who doesnt necessarily *want* to immediately be an expert in the set.
