Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard for Wii and WiiU

Awesome deal. I dont play the game but I am a musician. This is cheapest, velocity sensitive, midi keyboard you will ever find. On top of that it runs on batteries. I do electronic music and I needed a small, simple, battery powered midi controller to play one of my synths with. This works perfectly. $20 bucks and free shipping, its a no brainer.

Works exactly as its supposed to in Rock Band. As a keyboard you can use only the 5 colored keys and rock it as a keytar; it even has strap buttons and an overdrive switch. In Pro Mode the songs are adjusted so that you never need more keys than you have. However, for Pro Mode Id suggest either scrounging up the keyboard stand or a good TV tray because youre going to need both hands. This keyboard can even be used to play either the Bass or Guitar in Rock Band which is a good thing if you have a young player who understands the color-button-timeline thing but cant coordinate two hands yet. Just be careful to not lose the included and very necessary dongle.

I dont play computer games so I have no idea how this interacts with them. I did, however, need a small MIDI keyboard that had a 5-pin MIDI OUT port for directly playing some older MIDI modules while editing sounds. I was surprised when I found the build-quality of this little keyboard. It is as sturdily built as several of my small (made for music) USB keyboards. The only thing it doesnt provide is channel-aftertouch, but for $20.00 who in their right mind would expect it to. So, this review is for musicians and not gamers. If you need MIDI control without a computer or expensive host USB box, you cant go wrong with this.

This is a great quality keyboard for a Rock Band interment. It doesnt feel cheap and its a lot of fun to play in Rock Band 3. Note that not all songs in Rock Band 3 support keyboard, but enough to make it a worth-while purchase.

This makes a great midi controller for a home studio. Just the right size to fit between the computer and its keyboard, it does all the midi functions I need. Sometimes 25 keys right in front of me beats 61 or 88 across the room.

the keyboard is great, it just did not come with all the accessories for it. i dint remember is it said that online or not

I purchased this because it was a new instrument to Rock Band but was apprehensive thinking it might be too difficult to learn. WOW was I wrong... My 12 year old is already playing pro keys after a few weeks with no prior piano lessons. Every one of our family members loves playing on it.
