Replacing the vital large backspace key with a a tiny one to make room for an unprogrammable dial that serves a function a tiny button could do. Printing keys alternate functions in TINYT ORANGE icons on BROWN keys (are you for real?) and printing the same icons in the manual in bright orange ink on white paper. I dont know what sick sadist made these design choices, but they need to be fired. The orange icons I could eventually memorize, but theres not getting past this travesty of a dial. I thought Id be able to live with a smaller backspace key. I was wrong.

I was shocked by how great this keyboard is. It is sturdy and the switches and caps are great. The sound created by the combination of the base, switches and keycaps is really fantastic. Its solid and not hollow without any sharpness to the click. The backspace key positioning is taking a little getting used to but other than that, absolutely top notch keyboard.

This is a review of the 109 key version in starry cyan. Its a full-sized keyboard, significantly larger than the 67 key version, which might have been something of an inconvenience for me should I have gotten it (long fingers, large hands). The design of this keyboard is both functional and versatile. It includes 22 RGB light modes with adjustable brightness, which allows you to adjust the gaming ambient light. It also features a Mac keyboard that adds compatibility with both Windows and Mac systems. You accomplish this by turning the key on the top right corner of the keyboard to switch between the two different systems. I tried both and had no difficulty: both systems operated smoothly once I got the hang of it. Two significant features struck me as very helpful: the key legends are separately molded into the keycaps, so the legends should stay legible and apparently wont fade even after heavy use. Itll take some time to verify that. Also, the use of high-grade oil-resistant ABS keycaps on this keyboard are advertised by the manufacturer as being less prone to long-term grime buildup. Thats great if it works and only time will verify that claim as well. The keyboard features three Bluetooth channels, a wireless 2.4GHz channel and a USB Type-C wired mode. All three worked well when I tried them, though it took me a while to establish a Bluetooth connection with my tablet and one of my laptops. This keyboard allows a connection to five devices by turning the knob on the top right corner to switch between them, but I wonder how frequently Ill use that feature. All-in-all, this is an interesting, multi-functional keyboard with a lot of possibilities. It will take me a while to learn just how useful those possibilities really are, but it should be a lot of fun trying them out and learning what this keyboard can do.

With any compact keyboard, there are some things one has to get used to. These arent negatives per se, but worth noting. Ill get those out of the way first. 1. Due to the switches in the upper right corner, the backspace key is a single key width. Takes some real getting used to! 2. If youre accustomed to laptop-style compact keyboards with the arrow keys being designed to fit in a single row, you may find yourself inadvertently hitting the up arrow on occasion, as it takes up room where youd ordinarily expect more shift key. 3. Similarly, as there is an additional column immediately to the right of the normal set of keys. If your muscle memory is trained to go all the way to the right to hit return/enter, you may miss it. THANKFULLY, they thoughtfully put a function key there, which does nothing on its own. Now, onto the meat and potatoes of the review. I picked this keyboard up as I have been using a 60% keyboard as my daily driver for a while now, and it has a compromise that drives me crazy. The /? key pulls double duty as the up arrow key. As someone who codes, having to use a function key to swap between these two uses results in a lot of mistakes on my part. The R68 is what is called a 65%, which gives that extra column and offers enough room for separate arrow keys. What a relief! But its not just about the layout. This keyboard has an amazing feel. The Gateron yellow switches are smooth and quiet. They even included a few extra in the box, along with tools for swapping them and the key caps. The key caps themselves are PBT, with a great feel to them and a nice retro shape. Really complements the brown color scheme. The spacebar is often seen as a weak spot on more affordable mechanical keyboards. This one is incredibly stable. No matter where your thumb strikes it, it will register, and it stays flat and level throughout the entire key press, even from the edges. The dual function keys allow for the full array of F keys, as well as shortcut keys for adjusting volume, controlling media, etc. The angle of the keyboard is not adjustable, but its a nice one. Not too high, not too low. And I love the wireless mode knob. Just a fun aesthetic touch but its so enjoyable to turn I worry I might wear it out! All in all this is a great keyboard, but with a price point that makes it even more appealing, considering the quality.

First of all - the color is stunning and a whole vibe. Secondly, I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD. I seldomly get this excited over anything but its totally worth every penny. Its a little heavy compared to my other keyboards but I appreciate that. The keyboard has a Bluetooth function that worked seamlessly! Its rare anything I own with Bluetooth doesnt have some type of issue. The keys on this keyboard click incredibly pleasantly and smoothly - both for feeling and hearing. I had to adjust a bit because its a smaller keyboard but I really enjoy the clicking and the way it feels when I type. Its definitely not a loud mechanical one so if youre looking for that this isnt the one for you. I think if Id order it again Id get the bigger size!

I’m absolutely in love with this keyboard. I’m a bit guilty of collecting mechanical keyboards, but I I feel like this one is underrated. Easy to set up with lots of options and I absolutely love the sound quality. The keys have a great feel to them and I actually enjoy typing. Adjustable feet would be the only possible improvement as it is a bit slanted, but a huge deal personally, just something to keep in mind depending on your typing style.
