> 3 dayI had to make a bass string winding machine for musical insterments and these bearings are just what I needed. In the pass bearings like these were in windmills, worleyjiggs I think its what they are called forgive my spelling! Since you cant find them in local stores you have to depend on reviews like these. YES I WILL USE THEM AGAIN. Good luck!

> 3 dayIve used these for around a year in a few applications and overall if youre looking for something low speed with radial only (no axial) load then these will probably be fine. Anything high speed (greater than around 200 rpm) will quickly destroy the bearings and anything with any axial load will quickly destroy the internal balls. I used these in a cnc router as guide for lead screws and the axial load destroyed them in less than 20 total hours of use.

> 3 dayAs others have mentioned, out-of-the box these bearings do not spin well at all. Theyre covered in a viscous oil thats most likely there to protect against rust. Just run some 3-in-One Multipurpose Oil through them a few times; this will both clear out the thick oil and lubricate the bearings as well. They seem to be just as high quality bearings as most others.

> 3 dayI am not using them as they are intended to be used. I am over speeding the bearings. But they are holding up

> 3 dayThey work. Theyre decent quality but from what I could tell, not for high precision applications. The center bore wasnt always exactly centered and several spun rough but did work and will be sufficient for my needs. Id guess these were pulled from old equipment as many of the ones I received showed signs of previous external wear. I also had to clean these up as they were sticky to the touch, smelled awful and were initially very difficult to spin.I soaked half in Mineral Spirits and the other half in Acetone. Both methods seemed to clean these up really well and they all spun freely after cleaning. Ill likely repack with better grease when Im ready to use these. For my project, im more interested in lowest possible resistance and not concerned with speed or

Greater than one weekI read a lot of reviews stating they dont spin very well. This is 100% true. When you get them, they are gummy. A spray of WD40 and working them a bit will have them spinning nicely in no time. I dont use them for whatever they were manufactured for, so I cant say if they are good for whatever that is, but for hobby projects or 3D printed stuff, they work swimmingly.

04-04-2025They pretty sticky out of the box but thats just because theyre packed with grease, a quick spray with some simple green followed by some compressed air and some oil frees them right up. You could skip all that and just blast them with WD-40 but I like to use actual bearing oil. That said, the tolerances are actually kinda terrible, they have quite a bit of slop in them and they feel rough when you spin them. I suspect thats why they over grease them, to hide the bad tolerances and low quality balls/races inside. I dont use them for anything load bearing or fast speeds, these are just used for the filament roller guides on my 3d printer.

> 3 dayInexpensive option for non performance related projects where the bearing must spin but does not need to spin freely/loosely (ex a carousel vs a fidget spinner). -- 100% worked for what I needed but will likely look for a different freer spinning bearing on my next purchase.

> 3 dayThese might be good for heavy projects but they dont turn very easily and they came really sticky all over like some cheap greese, idk. Im going to return these and go with a little more expensive set.

> 3 dayI don’t know much about bearings but from what I’ve gathered, these are commonly used with 3D printed parts for printer upgrades. I figured I’d buy a set for filament storage and a filament guide. So far, these are doing just fine. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used a liberal amount of WD40 to get these in working order. I soaked a shop towel and put these in a ziplock bag overnight and the gunk previously seized these bearings is now gone.
