Just couldnt caulk a corner without making a mess, even after taping both sides. Caulk everywhere in the tool. Unable to make a correct selection of which tip to use,

Lets even the most armature put on silicone of virtually any tube applied material like a pro ! Really beyond impressive little tool , even use it on auto body applications in tight seams for a OEM factory look. Super impressed and I was certain it was a gimmick . Keep it clean and wear disposable gloves for best result IMO. Cannot saw enough about the results on my base boards better results than most $1 million homebuilder model homes we have seen.

Was real excited to use this tool, the videos seemed to make caulking effortless. However, I soon discovered trying to us this on a backsplash that had different thickness tiles was a disaster. Impossible to get a clean smooth caulk line. When the tool hit a thicker tile it left ridges at every transition to the next tile that had a different thickness it left a gap and then smeared the caulk onto the next different tiles. I had a very difficult time cleaning the caulk out of the textured tiles. Had to stop using the tool. The tool will work fine on smooth same thickness tiles or walls but do not buy this if you have tiles like mine.

I tried some of the other tools you can get at home depot and they were messy and not effective. When I used this tool the caulking came off like I had promised it desert for doing so. I was able to easily clean up the bits of mess that were left from the previous attempt even. Heck, I used the applicator backwards when applying the new caulking and it still worked great. This tool shaved off an hour of work from my previous attempts. Couldnt be happier. The only downfall is that if you are not careful you CAN hurt your hand on the metal bits. Be sure to be mindful of where your hand is in relation to the blades at all times.

Its not terribly expensive and is fairly easy to use even on the harder to use caulks that water really doesnt prevent it from sticking. However I did have one of the ears break off that hold the trowel pad on it only became a problem when cleaning it off. I wish the trowel extended a little farther would be easier to clean off instead of throwing away after first use. and plastic cleaning blade wore down quickly to a rounded edge, however metal would be to abrasive on most surfaces.
