After telling a friend about getting mental fogginess and severe fatigue during long runs, he asked if I was a salty sweater. I’ve been called worse, so I took no offense. But, in fact, yes! After a hot long run, I find salt residue in my clothing and on my skin. So my friend suggested using SaltStick products, and — bam — problem solved! I’ve never run longer than 10k without a supply of SaltStick on hand.

These salt tabs taste good and are great for electrolyte replacement. I use them when Im running long distances. The only reason for 4 stars is because the packaging is inefficient if youre running. Better off buying the individual packaged tabs if youre packing for a long run, or put them in a baggie.

Took these with us into the Grand Canyon. Chewed a couple every hour or so during the hot and strenuous parts of the hike, along with drinking plenty of water. More convenient than messing around adding powders or mixes into our water bladders.

My daughter has POTS and uses these daily for hydration. She loves them.

I am in LOVE with the fastchews. This particular flavor is my favorite as it isnt overwhelming and honestly was quite pleasant to use on really hot days. I am an avid hiker and used this product while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail and the Foothills trail. I needed consistent help when it came to regulating my electrolytes. I was having regular bouts of feeling lightheaded, sluggish, and a few times nearly ready to faint from temperature swings causing me to sweat too much too quickly. When you are on a thru-hike this can happen quickly and you need to take immediate action. I keep a small amount of the fastchews in my hip pocket of my pack where I can access them easily when needed without even taking my pack off. I needed to get in a better habit of consistently nurturing my body rather than running it ragged until I was in a troubled state. The fastchews are a bit more pleasant for me to use than the pill version while continuing to move, and they are just so easy and desirable because of the flavors.

These are my absolute favorite products from SaltStick! I use these FastChews in my training and races religiously. They keep my stomach happy and body hydrated. I run ultra marathons and these salt tabs saved me many times out in the desert! I highly recommend you try these. This is my favorite flavor!

Helps with cramps

The taste of the peach flavor reminds me of a salty version of sour peach gummies. The consistency is more like the large size sweet tarts...dry and a bit powdery. I tolerate these better than gatorade, and can drink water shortly after. They do not upset my stomach like salt tabs sometimes do. I often feel better after only a few minutes. I tried them in the heat today and they worked well.

Watermelon flavor is not good.

Normally I am firmly in the camp of Pedialyte packs, but a friend turned me on to these and I have been amazed at how dense and light these are to provide hydration when I’m in the backcountry. Flavor is excellent — not too sugary or sweet, definitely not too artificial or synthetic, it’s really “just right”. Sure beats lugging around an entire Gatorade up 2000 ft of elevation gain when you can pop this in chewable form to keep you moving.
