    Bought this drive to clone another drive. Technically 1000GB is 1TB, depending on if you use base10 or base2. XPG has their drives at 1024GB and when I fired up this one discovered you get less because of this calculation. So even in windows you will get less storage. Kinda cheap on Samsungs part, but they are technically correct in their advertising. May return this one. Was hoping to have a different manufacture just to double, triple make sure I was cloning the right source to right target. =)

    Booting time is awesome in less than 5 SECONDS! My old 1TB HDD would take almost 3-4 mins to complete the boot process of Windows 10. I would make a cup of coffee whilst waiting urrrghhh! This Samsung SSD 1TB is a game changer. Installation was easy! Just use the Windows Create a system Image and Create a system repair disk and making sure the SDD has similar or higher storage space than the HDD to be replaced.

    I installed this as my boot device in a new computer and the result is pretty amazing. Cold boot for Windows 11 is now 8 seconds. I ran a speed test and it stated read/write of about 2100mb. Slower that specified but this might be the testing app as I have no other way to verify this. Either way, this thing is quick!
