> 3 dayI have STRUGGLED with new tank syndrome in the past, even after cycling the tank for a month before introducing new fish. I finally decided to take a different approach and order this product. I went with Seachem because I have had great success using their Prime solution to dechlorinate the tank, and Im so glad I did! My water parameters have been on point! The second thing I LOVE about this product is, my water is finally CRYSTAL CLEAR! I know I sound overly excited about this review, but if youre an aquarium enthusiast, you know how frustrating these things can be. Ive tried everything from adding carbon filters, using Water Clear products (to no avail), even adding additional filtration to the tank, and NOTHING seemed to work as well as I wanted it to...until now! Id highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayI love this product. However, this vendor shipped it without a cap... not even in the box. Just saying. Luckily I have old caps to measure doses. But this is my favorite product for its intended use.

> 3 dayI have used this product twice now to successfully cycle my 90 gallon tank, second time I was forced to do a fish-in cycle due to a medication I used that killed my cycle. I had 5 amano shrimp in my 90 gallon when ammonia was reading 0.5. I knew that I didnt have much time to fix it so I started dosing stability - by day 5 now ammonia is at 0 and nitrates are at 5. Does what it says and saved the lives of ALL 5 shrimp. I dosed it together with Prime. For comparison, I set up a 5 gallon hospital tank for the other group of 6 shrimp that I had, and for that I used the Tetra SafeSmart that promises to cycle a tank in 1 day. I was extremely skeptical but since I had lost my cycle I gave it a try. I got a used sponge filter from a pet store along with the SafeStart and my 5 gallon was, indeed, reading ammonia at 0, nitrites at 0, and nitrates at 5 when I woke up the next morning. I put 6 amano shrimp in there and 5 survived. All in all, both Tetra and Seachem did what the promised.

Greater than one weekI keep my tank’s water pristine - the nitrate never gets past 20ppm. For the last couple years that <20ppm goal required the water changes happen every 6 days. Part of my routine is testing and recording the nitrate level (pH & temperature too) before and after doing the water. A couple months ago I started adding a couple capfuls Stability at water change time since I had an open bottle to finish up with no new tanks to cycle. The before nitrate test started showing reduced ppm, low enough to make a water change unnecessary. I didn’t believe it so I tested again. Got the same low nitrate reading. . Three more days of testing and finally on day 9 I did a water change. . I still wasn’t convinced but the same thing happened again. And again... No change in the fish, nothing different about the feeding. Nitrate staying low for more days. So odd! Then it dawned on me the only thing different is the Stability. It started to kick in after two water changes. It is why the changes are 9-10 days apart now, even for 6 large fancy goldfish in 75 gallons! Thank you SeaChem, the beneficial bacteria in Stability are doing the heavy lifting instead of me!

> 3 dayStability is a great product to help quickly start your cycle. Cycle of a tank goes down to a week unstead if 6-8 weeks. Go slow adding fish still as the cycle is still new. Great product

> 3 dayAs someone that is very serious about the fish keeping hobby, Seachem products are my go to. Seachem makes fantastic products that actually work, are consistent, and readily available in stores for the most part. Make no mistake, Seachem Stability is a 5 star product. Seachem Stability along with Prime really do make it possible to go from new aquarium setup to stocked with fish the same day. No more sitting around for weeks even months while a tank naturally goes through the nitrogen cycle. Ive used this method a few times when setting up new tanks and have not a lost a fish from adding them in a tank to soon yet. Seachem stability can also be used when adding new fish to established aquariums to give the beneficial bacteria in the tank a boost to help with the additional bio-load. I also use it whenever I do tank maintenance, because that is when you are most prone to killing the good bacteria in the tank and filters. The reason why I gave this 3 stars instead of 5 has nothing to do with the product itself. Like I said Seachem stability is a 5 star product. I usually by it in my local fish store but chose to order it from Amazon for the first time along with some other items I was ordering. I received a bottle of Stability that had expired about 3 years ago. I understand mistakes are made and things get overlooked, but how do you overlook something thats been expired for 3 years. To me that is no simple mistake, rather just pure negligence. I will never order anything that expires from amazon again.

> 3 daySome people say it allows you to speed up the cycling process even in a complicated reef tank set up... Others say its just snake oil, meaning, it doesnt do anything and you just have to trust it works. My verdict? Ive set up numerous reef tanks, some using this product, some without. Ive also done water changes with and without this product (with, per instructions). Guess what? I have no clue what this does. If it does something, great. If it doesnt, well, at least it didnt make anything worse. So my advice is if you think this will help, it may- and it wont kill anything. If you dont think it will work, it wont. Duh! Its only real if you believe, man. So why 4 stars? I can only assume the guys at Seachem did their research and theyve concluded improvements in the system using the product versus not. Im not a microbiologist, marine biologist, chemist, or alike... Im just a hobbist and enthusiast with a decent noggin. Youre not the fish whisperer, nor am I. Even the tiniest fractional change in water conditions is detected and deeply felt by marine animals. Imagine if earths gravity changed by 0.1 lbs. Imagine if there was a little less oxygen... Youd feel it, youd know, and it would play an epic toll on your body. So remember, whatever it does it doesnt kill your fish. It could be making things better for your tank, or making minor non-painful changes, but until I see death Im not concerned. I can only assume that real scientist developed this solution for a real problem and we should consider using it. Skeptics, shut up unless youve spoken to swimmy the fish. You can never conduct a perfect one to one experiment between using and not using, even if you two identical tanks, water, sand (impossible), rocks (impossible), filters, etc... Every minor difference, even where each tank is resting in the room (slightly different air exposure) makes a difference. Believe, and it works miracles.

> 3 day.Stability is a great kickstart for cycling a new tank , but that said, a tank still needs to be cycled. Newbies out there, you must cycle your tank for the it’s long term health. The secret to aquarium success - healthy fish- is water quality. If you cycle your tank properly and that takes time, your tank parameters ( ammonia nitrates nitrites Etc) will normalize/ stabilize. Fish will suffer if your tank has not cycled completely...due to ammonia spikes , high nitrites and nitrates amongst other possible complications for lack of proper cycling... Remember an aquarium is an animal eco system I recommend Aquariumadvisor.com ‘The (almost) Complete Guide and FAQ to Fishless Cycling‘
