Great Job

Awesome mic for a guitar amp/cab. I use it to keep our electric guitarist amp down low then mic him so our stage volume can be much lower and he can still get all the volume he needs through the mixing desk and his aux send to his IEM.

A great microphone

I have used it in live performances and it works as good or better that a SM-57.

Bought this for my brother for his birthday, I tested it out before I gave it to him I love it the sound that came from this mic was amazing very easy to use it was a great buy for the money highly recommend

Rock solid sound from a great Mic

Using a Fender Blues Jr amp, I compared the tonal response between the e609 and a Shure SM57. The e609 has slightly higher mid range response and a better humbucking quality to it, but the SM57 captures a large range of frequencies, particularly for cleaner guitar sounds, i.e., makes the sound a little fuller.. The ease with which to use the e609 with an amp (just hang it over the top; I use velcro to keep it in place) is a plus, however. The biggest con I found is that I am not getting very much signal through it when recording through a presonus DAW, requiring me to crank the amp to volumes that are pretty loud. The SM57 wins in that aspect, but not by much.

Tested this on a snare and guitar cab. Not as good as an sm57 IMO, but still good. Being able to use without a mic stand is very useful, and why I still keep it around.

This mic is great… I was using a popular Sure mic, but then played a gig where sound was supplied. The sound guy used this mic for my cab and I couldn’t believe how nice and full my tone was raw through monitors and mains compared to my other mic. I now use this one and I love it.
