Rock solid sound from a great Mic

I use it for my stack and sounds amazing

What is this, great mike, good brand, but the mike clip doesnt fit the stem of the mike. WTF? I bought two of them and both mike clips are the same - way too small for the mike. Is there an explanation for this?

It’s like comparing a tele with a les Paul. Both are amazing at what they do and neither are better than the other both both are applicable to almost every situation. I see these compared and complained against their 57 counterparts daily but when both are paired the sound you get is incredible. Buy both and hear for yourself.

I got this for my guitar rig. I like it for recording better than the SM57 because I think it handles high db levels better. Also seems to work good on a bass rig. We used to line my bassists amp to the board on stage and we decided to throw this mic in front of his cab instead and its given him a much fuller sound. We havent a/bed it with a 57 to see which we prefer, so I dont know if its the best bass cab mic, but it does sound pretty good in that duty.

I know the reputation and the sound of an SM57, a good general purpose instrument mic. The e609 seems to have a better response curve suited for close guitar-cab micing. With a 57, I EQ at FOH to calm the bite; with a 609, I can usually just leave it flat - the things sound great.

Use 2 of these along with a ribbon for recording guitar amps. The Sennheisers I set up as X-Y around 3-4 inchs out, the ribon set around 18-22 inchs.

Awesome mic for a guitar amp/cab. I use it to keep our electric guitarist amp down low then mic him so our stage volume can be much lower and he can still get all the volume he needs through the mixing desk and his aux send to his IEM.

This mic really is all its cracked up to be. Buy it!
