Awesome mic for micing my amp on Gigs

Bought 2 of these for our church praise band. Love them. The sound is a bit bright but can be fixed at the board. I highly recommend this product.

Perfect guitar mic!

Prior to these I had been trying SM57 and Lewitt 440DM which was very touchy, hard to find the right position and required mic stands. With two of these e609 mics, I just set and forget. The sound accurate and pick up the bass frequencies from my v30/DV77 speakers.

This thing is just a DREAM for micing guitar amps, especially problematic cabs. My main amp (Peavey Delta Blues) uses a 15 speaker. Trying to mic it with an SM-57 or similar is always a compromise of what kind of coloration Im willing to accept. Hours of recording time and fiddling with placement did eventually allow me to discover a sweet spot. But even then, trying to place such a tiny capsule on a speaker larger than 10 never gets me close to the natural sound of the amp. Something is always hyped or missing. Its always a hunt for the least bad placement. If youre reading this, youre probably familiar with what Im describing.

Great quality product

Great mic for the money. I pair it with an sm57 on a guitar amp. Also does a decent enough job tracking acoustic and vocals to get something done quick while the inspiration is there.

Preferred this over the 906 for certain amps / speakers. So great to just drape it over the cab although it is light and you might need tape to keep it straight. More forgiving of positioning compared to a 57 that you have to get just right.
