> 24 hourThe robot just finished mapping the two rooms where it will be used and is now doing its first cleaning. It is considerably quieter than any vacuum I have ever owned. Its ability to navigate the house is better than my own; Im old. We got it because our two long hair, indoor cats somehow got fleas and an important part of the considerable effort required to rid the house of them is frequent vacuuming. I will update this review as I gain experience. So far, as I watch it clean, it has picked up every bit of visible cat hair and dirt. Fabulous so far.

> 24 hourThis is my second room/house robot, so I have had a chance to see cheep verses middle expensive (Sharp). The Sharp with all its big time advertising isnt quite up to the TV boasting. First the negative, The software is sub-par as it doesnt provide any minute by minute up-date showing the current progress, as a result I have no idea how far along it is, in the current cleaning cycle. It need to show the line by line cleaning progress of where it is. Also it doesnt recognize carpet, it should speed up its cleaning suction speed when it is on carpet as my cheaper unit did. When I ask for its cleaning history (phone app), to see what its done, it wont show anything until the entire job is complete. As a result, I have to leave pet bedding and other items up off the floor all day long (which is a pain in the ). The good stuff is it has two cleaning front brush arms, a partial rubber center cleaning brush (less hair tangles but still some) and no bags to dump a big plus. Also my cheap unit always told me what it was doing (in a voice notice? the sharp just beeps when it completing a task, I have to guess what its up to..

> 24 hourGreat for hard floors, kinda iffy on our low pile rug. We bought it to reduce the sweeping and vacuuming needed on our hard floors so its performing as we need it to. We have a 5yr old boy and a dalmatian so dirt and dog hair are forever on our floors. The tank says it can hold 45-60 days of debris but we can only get 7 days out of it. I guess that shows how much its really working. As per other reviews, it does get a lot of scratches. I even put felt furniture bumpers on it to prevent the majority of them but its still somehow managing to look like its 2 years old after a month of use. All in all it does what I need it to and I would recommend it to a friend or family member based on its current performance.

> 24 hourI have. Large home so I needed two to complete the home I use twice a day. Live in the country so it gets pretty dusty out here being a windy state. I do have to clean the vacuum after every use because it is not very dog hair friendly as they state, I have a medium length hair dog, if I don’t clean after every use it will clog up and not vacuum right leaving dog hair behind as it vacs. Use a small hand held blower to clean after each use.

> 24 hourIm loving my little R2D2 splurge! I found it on Amazon for 300 off. Still pricey at 349 but it has been a godsend game changer for vacuuming up daily pet hair/litter. My toes dont curl anymore when I walk around in the house barefoot. I can program it when to run and it returns to base and empties itself when needed. Transitions from laminate to carpet and back. We are still in the honeymoon phase (1week) but so far so good. It also has been good because it forces me not to leave things like cords or socks lying on the floor. Had to rescue it once for a dry swifter sheet that fell on floor and when it couldnt get out of the laundry room due to a two inch drop but now I have that room as a no go zone unless I physically put it in there to clean. Things I would change: I would like it to show the GPS track it makes in real time on the map. If it would try a bit harder to push under my bed skirt to clean under the bed. One bed doesn’t have a skirt and it gets under fine, the other one has a skirt and it sees it as a wall and doesn’t go under. And it could be quieter.

> 24 hourI had been contemplating upgrading my iRobot 670 for some time. It wasn’t really doing the job. I have 2 dogs, both heavy shedders. Working full-time and going to school full time I wanted something to help maintain a clean floor. This isn’t a replacement for a regular vacuum but it really comes close and does a great job. The mapping created during initial exploration is very accurate and the robot follows it each time. The floor upon which it roams is probably 90% low pile carpet (the bane of my existence until I can replace it with vinyl plank). Keep in mind, if there are any loose threads they will get caught. This is common for me because my husky and German shepherd so if I see one, I cut it to avoid that problem. For those who are terrible at cable management such as myself, it will normally navigate around or over cords though I would keep them clear. Small cables like mini USB or charging cables can get sucked up. It has three suction modes (eco, normal and max). For my purposes I always use Max and it’s not incredibly noisy. It is far quieter than my old Roomba. I can still watch tv comfortably and hear perfectly fine while its running. The self-emptying bin works great. Some complain it’s loud but it’s not that bad, and c’mon, it only takes about 10 seconds. The first couple times I ran it, I had to manually empty the dust cup on the robot because of dog hair. I think it was just finding more than I got with my regular vacuum. Now, running it once daily I haven’t had to do it. Oh, another great thing about this robot is the roller. Dog hair will not get caught in it !! With my old Roomba, I had to de-hair the roller after each use. Overall, this unit was significantly more than I ever wanted to pay, but so far it’s been worth it because of its efficiency and low maintenance. I’m really happy that I pulled the trigger.

> 24 hourI dont know what i did before we had Carl. Carl has become part of our house, one dog dont care, the other dog runs away from it, and the cat attacks it, but even after all of that torment Carl sucks it up and keeps cleaning. Sometimes Carl gets a little drunk and runs in circles, but for the most part does an amazing job at tracking its routes and cleaning in an efficient manner.

> 24 hourI upgraded from my iRobot about a week ago. There wasnt really anything wrong, per se, with that device, but I wasnt happy with its cleaning. I got a puppy about 3 months ago, and the iRobot just didnt do a good job of sucking up the hair. Well, after a week of using the Shark AI robot vacuum, I am impressed. Daily!! It was super easy to set up. And the mapping function is amazing. Initially I was going to run it every other day, but seeing how much it picks up daily, I will be using it Monday-Friday!! The dust bin is supposed to be a 60 day capacity, but, with how much it does pick up, I have to empty it every other day!! The noise factor. Its much quieter than a standard vacuum!! The loudest part is when it empties the cup into the dust bin which only lasts for about 10-15 seconds. I love that I could set it to clean and empty every 30 minutes and resume where it left off. I also love that I could set it to recharge and resume when the battery is low. Which brings me to the battery. I get about 1hr of cleaning on a full charge. But, I do have it set to max cleaning, which will use more battery. But, since it will recharge and resume, I do not have to think about a thing!! The spot clean is great for those quick messes!! Using the map it created, I can send Sharkira (the name I chose for it) to that spot, she cleans and goes right back to the dock. I was able to set high traffic zones to send Sharkira to those areas to do Ultra cleaning if needed!! It also provides the option to do specific rooms if needed. All in all, this is a 5 star unit!!! Next upgrade, I will be adding the unit that also does mopping!! Hope this review helps your decision to purchase this Shark AI robot vacuum!!

> 24 hourI Owned a Roomba Robot before which I wasnt very happy with so I bought this unit to replace it with. After owning this Shark for a couple months Ill give it a review. First the Good things....... 1. Very quiet,I hardly hear it from other rooms while its running. It makes some noise while its emptying the dirt to the base but thats only for about 10 seconds or so. 2.Doesnt crash into walls and furniture like the Roomba did, however small things like dog or cat food bowls it will push around. 3.Doesnt have a problem going from carpet to tile or hardwood floors. Will go up on bathroom floor mats without shoving them around. 4.Finds its way back to the charging base base 95% of the time,if it doesnt its usually because it found a problem it couldnt solve. 5. Requires very little maintenance, but will need some on a weekly basis.More on that below. Now for things I wouldnt call negative but you should know. 1.Says the base holds 60 days of dirt before it needs to be emptied, maybe if you live in a house with no pets or children. We have 2 cats a dog and 2 adolescent kids.I need to empty the bin at least once a week or more or it will fill up and cause a error. If the bin fills up you will clog up the passage from the bottom of the base unit to the upper bin and then it will need to be cleaned out manually before the error is cleared and it will work correctly again. Not a big deal really but you should be aware. 2.Hair for the most part does not wrap around the roller brush but will to some point, mostly on the sides and middle of the brush, however Its easy to pop off and clean ,I do it once a week, you can then clean any debris behind the brush that might build up. 3.The cliff sensors on the bottom of the unit, the four clear plastic lenses in the front and two on the sides should also be wiped off weekly,if they get dusty or blocked with dirt that will cause an error too. 4.Keep things like dryer sheets ,loose electrical or USB cords, socks ,small toys, etc off the floor so it wont jam up and cause an error. So all in all I am quite happy with this Shark unit 60 days in,it runs 6 days a week with hardly any problems.

> 24 hourI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office
