I love this time saving helper! I have 3 dogs that shed constantly. It returns to the base automatically and emptys itself once during its cycle, then heads back out to finish the job. The Alexa integration was super simple and its easy to use.

I had bought a similar knockoff robovac and it worked well. The problem is that we have a dog, a Corgi to be precise. She sheds like shes allergic to fur. The other vac had a tiny compartment for holding waste, the dog hair would clog it up quickly. The new one is much better. Not only can it hold more, it can empty itself. We also have the Shark NV752 Rotator upright vacuum. The combination of the two is very effective at handling pet hair. The old robovac is now cleaning my garage shop. The kind of waste it has to handle makes it well suited for the task, and I dont have to sweep the garage and laundry area out every weekend. Update - 7-3-2022. This is the second time the robot has been bumped away from its base charger. After allowing it to charge overnight it now has forgotten its Map, Rooms, and Zones. Whats the point of having this thing connect to a phone or iPad if it cant reload those things once it reconnects? It should also have a non-volatile memory on board to store that information. I also have to have an account with Shark to use the app. Apparently its just too much trouble to store the setting on the company servers. Its a tedious process having this thing explore the house again. I have to let it go everywhere in the house (in one trip) except in rooms we dont want it to go (like the bathrooms for instance). Then, I get to create the Rooms all over again and create the No-Go areas again. Overall its still worth having the vacuum, but not at its current price. You should be able to fix this issue through programming and a firmware update (if it even does that).

Im loving my little R2D2 splurge! I found it on Amazon for 300 off. Still pricey at 349 but it has been a godsend game changer for vacuuming up daily pet hair/litter. My toes dont curl anymore when I walk around in the house barefoot. I can program it when to run and it returns to base and empties itself when needed. Transitions from laminate to carpet and back. We are still in the honeymoon phase (1week) but so far so good. It also has been good because it forces me not to leave things like cords or socks lying on the floor. Had to rescue it once for a dry swifter sheet that fell on floor and when it couldnt get out of the laundry room due to a two inch drop but now I have that room as a no go zone unless I physically put it in there to clean. Things I would change: I would like it to show the GPS track it makes in real time on the map. If it would try a bit harder to push under my bed skirt to clean under the bed. One bed doesn’t have a skirt and it gets under fine, the other one has a skirt and it sees it as a wall and doesn’t go under. And it could be quieter.

After a couple months with the Shark, I can safely say this: its great for daily carpet maintenance. Its quiet, thorough, and at max power the vacuum gets...about 90% of whats in its path. Is that disappointing? Not really. This is my first robot vacuum, and running this guy 5 mornings a week has my carpets looking cleaner than ever. It rarely gets stuck, has never gotten lost, and the base really does hold weeks of debris without needing emptied. Overall definitely worth the purchase. Some other quick takeaways: - If you have multiple levels (stairs) in your home your options are to either get multiple Sharks, carry it down to the level away from its base and manually start it (itll do the room, and return to where I started), or install a Roomba ramp. We went with the latter (pictured), and the little guy finds his way down to the living room each morning. - Itll get hung up around any obstructions lower than 4 inches or so. It eventually finds its way, but watching it bump around can be frustrating - The mop. Utterly useless. It basically vacuums while shimmying a wet microfiber cloth behind it. When the mop is installed, any carpet will get it stuck, so youve got the designate no-go areas. Filling and cleaning the reservoir is as much if not more hassle than filling a mop bucket. Its a Shark 1-in-1 for me. - Deep clean is cool. Drop it where you need extra cleaning, and itll work a 5x5 grid front and back, side to side. - The app is pretty cool, letting you visualize what the Shark sees and where it goes. You cant see where it is in real time, and can only schedule one cleaning per day, but otherwise it does everything I need. Overall, if you want a decent robot vacuum and love those fresh carpet lines daily, Id say go for it.

The technology is amazing but I find the programming non-intuitive. Trying to map out the carpeted areas so that the moping function wont reach it is impossible. Naming the room is also another chore. Most irritating is that the price has dropped another $50 since I bought it less than 3 weeks ago and I have yet been able to test its full function since I will need my daughters help to program it. Wondering if I should return it and get a replacement for $50 less.

I Owned a Roomba Robot before which I wasnt very happy with so I bought this unit to replace it with. After owning this Shark for a couple months Ill give it a review. First the Good things....... 1. Very quiet,I hardly hear it from other rooms while its running. It makes some noise while its emptying the dirt to the base but thats only for about 10 seconds or so. 2.Doesnt crash into walls and furniture like the Roomba did, however small things like dog or cat food bowls it will push around. 3.Doesnt have a problem going from carpet to tile or hardwood floors. Will go up on bathroom floor mats without shoving them around. 4.Finds its way back to the charging base base 95% of the time,if it doesnt its usually because it found a problem it couldnt solve. 5. Requires very little maintenance, but will need some on a weekly basis.More on that below. Now for things I wouldnt call negative but you should know. 1.Says the base holds 60 days of dirt before it needs to be emptied, maybe if you live in a house with no pets or children. We have 2 cats a dog and 2 adolescent kids.I need to empty the bin at least once a week or more or it will fill up and cause a error. If the bin fills up you will clog up the passage from the bottom of the base unit to the upper bin and then it will need to be cleaned out manually before the error is cleared and it will work correctly again. Not a big deal really but you should be aware. 2.Hair for the most part does not wrap around the roller brush but will to some point, mostly on the sides and middle of the brush, however Its easy to pop off and clean ,I do it once a week, you can then clean any debris behind the brush that might build up. 3.The cliff sensors on the bottom of the unit, the four clear plastic lenses in the front and two on the sides should also be wiped off weekly,if they get dusty or blocked with dirt that will cause an error too. 4.Keep things like dryer sheets ,loose electrical or USB cords, socks ,small toys, etc off the floor so it wont jam up and cause an error. So all in all I am quite happy with this Shark unit 60 days in,it runs 6 days a week with hardly any problems.
