I have two of these that I’ve been using for a few months now, and they work pretty well for the most part. The initial set up was easy and it created a pretty accurate map from the start. The app is also intuitive and easy to use. The robots themselves navigate well and rarely get stuck. The self emptying base is also pretty nice and I like that it doesnt need bags. They follow the set schedules quite well too. Some things could be better unfortunately. The actual suction power on the bots doesn’t seem to be enough, and the dust filters on the bots get clogged very fast even with it set to empty the dustbin every 30mins. If I don’t clean the filters every 2-3 runs the bots lose suction completely which isn’t ideal. The no-go zones don’t seem to work too well either. The bots only respect the no-go zones on some runs but not all. They also seem to disregard them when they are navigating to new areas. For example if I tell it to do a spot clean somewhere and there is a no-go zone in the way, they often just run straight through the no-go zone on the way to the designated spot clean area. It will then respect the no-go zone while cleaning, but on the way back to the base it will just run straight through it again. Over all the no-go zones are just very inconsistent, which makes it hard to keep them out of trouble spots. Overall I think they are decent, when they are on sale they are a pretty good deal. I just wish the no-go zones worked properly.

I had bought a similar knockoff robovac and it worked well. The problem is that we have a dog, a Corgi to be precise. She sheds like shes allergic to fur. The other vac had a tiny compartment for holding waste, the dog hair would clog it up quickly. The new one is much better. Not only can it hold more, it can empty itself. We also have the Shark NV752 Rotator upright vacuum. The combination of the two is very effective at handling pet hair. The old robovac is now cleaning my garage shop. The kind of waste it has to handle makes it well suited for the task, and I dont have to sweep the garage and laundry area out every weekend. Update - 7-3-2022. This is the second time the robot has been bumped away from its base charger. After allowing it to charge overnight it now has forgotten its Map, Rooms, and Zones. Whats the point of having this thing connect to a phone or iPad if it cant reload those things once it reconnects? It should also have a non-volatile memory on board to store that information. I also have to have an account with Shark to use the app. Apparently its just too much trouble to store the setting on the company servers. Its a tedious process having this thing explore the house again. I have to let it go everywhere in the house (in one trip) except in rooms we dont want it to go (like the bathrooms for instance). Then, I get to create the Rooms all over again and create the No-Go areas again. Overall its still worth having the vacuum, but not at its current price. You should be able to fix this issue through programming and a firmware update (if it even does that).

This robot vac is amazing! I have tried other brands and this has surpassed them all for me. I read some of the other reviews and honestly they sound more like user error than product error. I‘be had mine for almost 2 years and have had zero glitching with the app unless it was because my WiFi went out so it logged me out of the app. But, it never deleted my map or anything like that. Also, one review said they couldn’t get parts; well you absolutely can. Maybe not direct from the manufacturer but there’s a multitude of different companies selling replacement parts on Amazon. I say get it! It makes cleaning so much easier, especially if you have kids or fur babies! I couldn’t use mine for a week while I waited for my replacement parts to get delivered and it really made me appreciate how much work it takes off my hands m, because I was seriously struggling to keep my 5000 square feet of living space feeling and looking clean.

Prior to this one, I had an off brand robot that never truly mapped my house after the first time. I hesitated in getting another one but with cats, I needed something. I seen great reviews. I have used it now 3 times and it’s mapped my house and vacuumed everywhere with no issues. It does miss some of the cat litter But otherwise it’s great. It definitely decreases the time I spend cleaning the floors.

Having to use two canes it is difficult to use a regular vacuum. Now I just tell Hazel to do it for me. She does a good job. I havent tried her with Alexa yet but will soon. I highly recommend the Shark AI based on value.

The robot just finished mapping the two rooms where it will be used and is now doing its first cleaning. It is considerably quieter than any vacuum I have ever owned. Its ability to navigate the house is better than my own; Im old. We got it because our two long hair, indoor cats somehow got fleas and an important part of the considerable effort required to rid the house of them is frequent vacuuming. I will update this review as I gain experience. So far, as I watch it clean, it has picked up every bit of visible cat hair and dirt. Fabulous so far.

Overall: For fur-shedding pet owners - This is a great option to keep the day-to-day fur buildup under control, but does not substitute for deep cleaning, and does require removing excess fur buildup on the brushes and rollers every 3-5 days. Let me set the stage: We have two long-haired golden retrievers and they shed a massive amount of fur. We have a mix of hardwood and carpets and if we dont vacuum for a few days we start getting fur-tumbleweeds. We thought we would give this Shark Robot vacuum a try and overall I am very pleased with it. The AI technology is very impressive. It mapped out our 2,200 sq ft single story home in about 25 minutes and didnt even need to run around all of the edges in the space to map out details like island counters, couches, table legs, etc. Since then it has run once per day and we have noticed a significant shift in the amount of fur we are seeing on the floors. It takes about 90 minutes to run through the approved 1,200 sq ft vacuum space in the house. It transitions from hardwood to carpet and over doorways without issue. Im shocked at how it can navigate under side tables and couches that have as little as 1/4 clearance on top/sides! It has ventured into rooms when doors are left open that it wasnt mapped to go into on occasion, which is my only knock on it. As expected, I have to flip it over and cut the dog fur thats wrapped around the brushes out every 3-5 days. If we didnt have pets with long fur I cant imagine Id ever have to do this and have had to clean fur from brushes on even the most expensive or regular vacuums. This so far (after 1 month) has been well worth the investment!

The robot vacuum works well enough however I am underwhelmed with its ability to maneuver obstacles and it sees intake vents on the floor as cliffs and gets stuck (I had to make no-go zone around the vent). It also gets stuck on the objects on the floor that it should maneuver around. We like to schedule it to run at night but most nights it cant complete its run and we have a very obstacle free house. But the app is beyond bad. The history randomly wont show the map so I dont know where it has cleaned, you can only schedule once a day, and the notifications really dont tell me much (they seriously say the word cliff). This is my first experience with robot cleaners so maybe my expectation is too high but I am underwhelmed at best! But I am tempted to return it and see if the iRobot is just a better product.

Im loving my little R2D2 splurge! I found it on Amazon for 300 off. Still pricey at 349 but it has been a godsend game changer for vacuuming up daily pet hair/litter. My toes dont curl anymore when I walk around in the house barefoot. I can program it when to run and it returns to base and empties itself when needed. Transitions from laminate to carpet and back. We are still in the honeymoon phase (1week) but so far so good. It also has been good because it forces me not to leave things like cords or socks lying on the floor. Had to rescue it once for a dry swifter sheet that fell on floor and when it couldnt get out of the laundry room due to a two inch drop but now I have that room as a no go zone unless I physically put it in there to clean. Things I would change: I would like it to show the GPS track it makes in real time on the map. If it would try a bit harder to push under my bed skirt to clean under the bed. One bed doesn’t have a skirt and it gets under fine, the other one has a skirt and it sees it as a wall and doesn’t go under. And it could be quieter.
