> 24 hour26 minutes, mapped the whole house. No errors. Doesnt bump into thing, which previous version did until it broke three bumpers. This one is louder. But does a great job. Working with Alexa is not great I give it a room to clean, then it clear the whole house. The app works perfect They should put a small piezoelectric spk that runs on a button battery for locating the unit when the main battery dies.

> 24 hourAs I noted in the headline, this is our third robot vacuum, as our Deebot 920 developed yet another issue with its lidar system and I finally gave up trying to fix it. I have been wanting to get something that had self empty, no mopping, and no bags. Which lead me to get this Shark AI. First some pros: The initial mapping went very quickly, and when it was done generating the map, accuracy was good. Seems to have taken the no-go zones I created to heart Battery life is solid, and its a major step up from my old machine with the Nickel metal hydride battery. Lasts longer and recharges faster Auto empty works! We have a giant German Shepherd whose shedding season never stops, which with the old vacuums meant that Id have to empty the bin halfway through the main living area, then again another half hour later. The auto empty bin keeps me from forgetting which keeps the machine cleaning decently. Noise is fine, about the same as my old Deebot, maybe a touch quieter. Except of course, when the auto-empty bin kicks off which is to be expected as it needs to get everything out fast! It uses a (mostly) logical path for cleaning, but this also falls into the cons which Ill talk about as well. Doing single high traffic rooms is easy. Build quality seems fine, nothing bad to say. Latches seem solid to start anyway. There are some cons however. Given that this machine is several years newer, Im baffled as to why it doesnt have any kind of progress that shows on the map. My old Deebot would dutifully record and report where it was via the app at all times. Which is really nice when you are cleaning the rest of the house along with him- that way you know whether or not you can mop an area. This seems like a basic gimme that Shark is really missing. Brushes are singles rather than triples. It does mean that Ive seen a bit of missed stuff where my old machine seemed to pick it up just fine. Vacuum power with any of these is not going to be like an upright, so with that expectation set, it does not seem to do as good of a job as the old deebot on the two area rugs. Which is okay, as I usually hit them with the upright from time to time anyway, but max power should at least get it as good I would expect, which it doesnt. Paths, although logical, are really oddly decided by the bot. The older machine would do a perimeter path, then start in a corner and work its way out. This guy goes right through the middle of the room and then starts going off and doing sections, which seems to take longer. He also tends to get confused a bit more under chairs and with some obstacles. So overall, are any of the cons a deal breaker? Not for me at this point, they are mostly just annoyances, although the lack of progress on the map almost made me pack it up and send it back. The auto empty covers a lot of sins, and for the price point compared to other auto empty models, it seems to be a pretty solid performer so far. Id give it 3.5 stars overall- if they update the mapping to show progress, I might well bump it up.

> 24 hourI run my shark everyday. My carpet has never looked better. Not quite as good as my upright vacuum but I would rarely vacuum like I should.

> 24 hourI have owned and still own the IRobot. Shark knocks the IRobot to the curb! I will only own Shark auto cleaner from now on. I now have three and the IRobot is in the attic for a yard sale.

> 24 hourThis robot arrived a few days ago and I promptly set it up. It had no problem connecting to my eero mesh wifi, which supports 2.4 ghz as well as higher bands. The app setup was easy, and it did a good job mapping the floor. Then I sent it off to clean. The first time through I had to manually pull out all the hair and dust that it accumulated, despite using the setting to evacuate and resume which is supposed to empty itself more frequently. After that it has empted itself fine, and collected a TON of debris. One issue with the robot itself, I picked this model because the self cleaning brushroll was supposed to avoid getting tangled with hair, which is the bane of my existence with my upright vacuum. But no, I have to manually remove hair from the brushroll. Fortunately this is fairly easy to do. Other issue is with the app. There is an extended clean setting where it is supposed to just keep going and going until it has to recharge itself. But this setting would not turn on. I contacted support and they said they would have to perform a firmware update. This happened automagically and the next afternoon the setting worked fine. I wish there was a simple option to relocate the dock in case we decide to move it, but it appears that I will have to delete the map and run through the explore cycle again to do so. I think it is very dumb that you cant map multiple floors with different home locations if you want to relocate the dock to another floor and have it focus on that floor for a day or so. I put it in my basement but the layout is very different and it will clean awhile but eventually get lost. Also that carpet is pretty new and theres a lot of carpet fibers that need to be vacuumed, and it keeps getting clogged and the brushroll is covered in hair and carpet. Once I go through it a few times it should be easy to maintain, but its a pain to start, especially without an accurate map. Why not give the ability to map different floors? Seems like a reasonable feature to add. Overall giving it 4/5 because of the issues noted above, but it seems to work very well and the self-emptying feature is pretty great.

> 24 hourI purchased this on an impulse because it was on sale. I set it up and hit the clean button and it far exceeded (in a positive way) the job it did cleaning! Unfortunately it was down hill from there. The unit went back to the docking station, recharged and then had a #9 bin error. I ejected the dust bin out of the robot and replaced it and it again did a great job vacuuming but after the next recharge, same error. I called Shark customer service and here is the shot version of the drama that ensued: 1. first agent with very poor English (Ive worked extensively overseas and am usually able to understand even thick accents but this was barely comprehensible at times) sent me a link to be able to view the robot through the camera on my phone. She had me dock the unit and since it did that and started vacuuming again she declared it cured, gave me a case number, and signed off. 2. after completing the vacuuming cycle (about an hour until battery needs recharge) it recharged and same dust bin error 9 message. I called back in and got another agent with nearly incomprehensible English skills who started the same routine of diagnostic steps with me but after getting to the Im going to send you a link to access your camera so I can see the error she went radio silent, line connected but no body home. Mind you it took 15 minutes on hold to get to an agent and another 15 of diagnostics to get to this point. 1/2 hour wasted. 3. called in a 3rd time, 3rd agent I couldnt understand, and same diagnostic routine. At the 45 minute mark in the conversation she said, ok it looks like its the same as with the first agent so well need to send you a new robot. Great... I thought. She takes all my information and then says I forgot to tell you, the warranty is limited and youre responsible for the $25 shipping of the replacement! I protested, she checked with her supervisor and got the shipping waved. She then informed me that this unit is not in stock so it will be 2-3 weeks before I should expect a replacement via FedEx. The only good part of the experience is that agent 3 realized her English wasnt good so rather than try to have me spell out my address she just had me write it down on a piece of paper and point the camera on my phone at it so that she could take it down. Pretty good idea really.

> 24 hourThis robot vac is amazing! I have tried other brands and this has surpassed them all for me. I read some of the other reviews and honestly they sound more like user error than product error. I‘be had mine for almost 2 years and have had zero glitching with the app unless it was because my WiFi went out so it logged me out of the app. But, it never deleted my map or anything like that. Also, one review said they couldn’t get parts; well you absolutely can. Maybe not direct from the manufacturer but there’s a multitude of different companies selling replacement parts on Amazon. I say get it! It makes cleaning so much easier, especially if you have kids or fur babies! I couldn’t use mine for a week while I waited for my replacement parts to get delivered and it really made me appreciate how much work it takes off my hands m, because I was seriously struggling to keep my 5000 square feet of living space feeling and looking clean.

> 24 hourFor the price and the reviews I expected a lot more from this bot. There are almost no directions with it. It only maps one floor. So probably works great if you have only one floor. But if you have more than one floor what customer service told me is you have to turn the machine off, carry it to new floor, and start it not from the app (or it will mess up your map), but just push the clean button. Then on any other floor but the main one it is not a smart robot. It just bounces around randomly until it decides it is done cleaning and then stops and says it cant find its base. In my experience of almost a month it misses entire rooms. I would rather have a robot without the self empty base that is smart no matter where you put it and cleans the whole house. I had a Neato D85 for years before this and it did that. No app, no mapping, but who cares? What I care about is my house getting clean and this bot is not doing it. Have two more days to return, but I got it on sale and cant afford the one I really want- Roomba i7+.

What a Gem!
> 24 hourSo I was told by several people how much they loved their robotic vacuums. I had a hard time believing they were that great. Ive been using an ancient rainbow vacuum which works great for my chocolate labs hair which is everywhere. But its a pain to take out and fill up with water and then empty. Which I did almost every day. So I finally broke down and we bought this one and oh how wonderful it works! I cannot believe how much human hair and dog hair it picks up. The self-emptying into the base is so cool! I empty the base about once a week to 10 days and its full! The mop does a fair job but its not like getting down on your hands and knees and scrubbing. But its great for just everyday touch ups. The Ultra clean is awesome as well. Im glad I went with this one and spent the extra money. The ability to start it up on an app when we are away from home is awesome. Its so cool to come home to freshly vacuumed carpets. It feels like a cleaning lady was in the house. :) We have it scheduled daily to start up at 7:00 a.m. Our dog just ignores it and walks away from it. Hes not frightened by it nor does it want to mess with it. Super satisfied!

> 24 hourI had bought a similar knockoff robovac and it worked well. The problem is that we have a dog, a Corgi to be precise. She sheds like shes allergic to fur. The other vac had a tiny compartment for holding waste, the dog hair would clog it up quickly. The new one is much better. Not only can it hold more, it can empty itself. We also have the Shark NV752 Rotator upright vacuum. The combination of the two is very effective at handling pet hair. The old robovac is now cleaning my garage shop. The kind of waste it has to handle makes it well suited for the task, and I dont have to sweep the garage and laundry area out every weekend. Update - 7-3-2022. This is the second time the robot has been bumped away from its base charger. After allowing it to charge overnight it now has forgotten its Map, Rooms, and Zones. Whats the point of having this thing connect to a phone or iPad if it cant reload those things once it reconnects? It should also have a non-volatile memory on board to store that information. I also have to have an account with Shark to use the app. Apparently its just too much trouble to store the setting on the company servers. Its a tedious process having this thing explore the house again. I have to let it go everywhere in the house (in one trip) except in rooms we dont want it to go (like the bathrooms for instance). Then, I get to create the Rooms all over again and create the No-Go areas again. Overall its still worth having the vacuum, but not at its current price. You should be able to fix this issue through programming and a firmware update (if it even does that).
