I am a radio broadcaster. Ive used the Electrovoice RE20 my whole career. Every radio station I have ever worked in had EV RE20 mics. Along comes a studio makeover and manager trying to save $50 a microphone x a lot of radio stations and we have the Shure SM7B microphones.

Unfortunately beware of the counterfeits out there, they are proliferate and often disguised under the 5 star rating the actual product has. This is the real thing!

Greatly disappointed w/ the mic. Did a lot of research and watched a lot of youtube videos, and I cant say, after listening to my podcast post production and comparing blue yeti w/ this mic, that there is a $400+ dollar difference in sound quality. (I say $400 difference b/c you need a pre-amp + something to boost the sound. . .I used the scarlett 2i2 and although I was able to get the mic loud enough, the quality didnt knock me off my feet).

What’s not to like about an SM7B? An industry standard workhorse. I bought three for my podcast recording studio (used to own seven, but that’s another story...). Looking to buy two more in the near future.

Loving the mic. Amazing vocals out of it and dead clear

Been told my voice is so sexalicious on this mic. Been using it with a goxlr mini. I also bought a booster for it but it only works in settings that are not recommended. So I have to be right up on that mic, or I just dont know what Im doing with it yet.

Por algo este micrófono tiene la fama que tiene. Es perfecto para podcasting, para grabar voice-over o creación de contenido multimedia (youtubers, streamers, etc).
