> 3 dayI love the storage capacity and the read speed of the NVMe SSD but for whatever reason I am unable to get anywhere close to the advertised write speed. It could very well be something wrong with my motherboard or OS config because my other SSDs seems to top out at around the same write speed as well. I tried enabling TRIM on windows 11 and that didnt seem to fix the problem

> 3 dayActually getting those advertised speeds on this drive is killer. The system is snappy and crisp! I dont know if its because the drive is paired with the 32gb sk hynix m die ram (wish I could have gotten a die 64gb kit) that its really responsive but, Im super pleased with this drive. Should have went with a 2tb instead of the 1tb is the only downside for me, definitely recommend.

> 3 dayIts a PCIe 4.0 drive from a tech-dominant company... not shocking to see high speeds from this product. But, I do noticed a few things that are important to professional usage: > The ability to translate regular files into thumbnails (images) is incredible - almost instantaneous. Normally, I dont see an instant translation on the first use - very important for CAD and CAE files that take advantage of Windows thumbnail viewing. > Load time for CAD (i.e., Solidworks, Solid Edge) is much more fluent with larger assemblies - which most users dont care about (compared to Samsung 980 pro). If you use mechanical drives at this point - shame on you? > Opening video, music, and photos is a noticeable reward with this SSD (small file cache and multitasking is fabulous) > If you have an extensive movie or music library this drive is premium (small file handling) with crazy speed - helps with file conversions and compression/decompression. > Windows 10 load time has many factors - but this drive shaved 5 seconds from my previous SSD (total = 7 seconds). Yes, Im greedy, bias, and easily spoiled by advanced technology.

> 3 dayThis is really fast added the be quiet! BZ003 MC1 Pro M.2 SSD Cooler to it and stays around 41c but I dont game with it so my be just overkill but over double the speed of my Samsung 960 evo 500gb. for the price and pcie 4.0x4 from other benchmarks this seems to have a better i/o in testing . Only day 1 of the install so time will tell and update later

Greater than one weekIts hard to argue against Hynix, unless Samsung is having a crazy sale. Even then, you know enthusiast-grade Hynix products arent junk. But I wasnt expecting this to put my venerable 980 Pro to bed. On a lark, I bought two 2TB drives during Amazons Black Friday sale, and my only regret is not buying three. The read speed is neck and neck with the 980 Pro, but the write speed is nearly 2,000 MB/s faster. Thats jaw-dropping. You can see the results in the attached image. Thats on a secondary drive in an MSI Z690 Pro board with no heatsink at all. Not an enthusiast board. Not active cooling. Not even passive cooling (besides the Hynix sticker). Nothing crazy. And just over 7,100 read / 6,700 write is impressive at an enthusiast-grade price. Even a regular price. But at the bargain basement price these were going for? I almost feel like a thief!

> 3 dayThis SK Hynix P41 Gen 4 NVMe delivers! I benchmarked at 7.3GB/s READ and 6.6GB/s WRITE. Its even faster than my older Gen 3 NVMes in Raid 0 (4.2GB/s READ, 5.9 GB/s WRITE). System is Ryzen 9 5900X and Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Impact. There was no issue with going from Gen 3 RAID 0 to mixed Gen 4 + Gen 3 non-RAID NVMes on this boards SO-DIMM slot. It took about 1.5 hours to clone the OS from RAID drives to a SATA SSD and the same amount to clone back to this P41 NVMe. As others have mentioned, this Gen 4 drive runs hotter than the Gen 3 drive. Im seeing around 46C at low usage, while it can ramp up to 55C on high usage. My Gen 3 drive runs idle at 28C and ramps up to 40C. Also, Im happy this is a single-sided NVMe as my older Gen 3 drives were double-sided. Overall, its a killer deal at $170 from the Black Friday sale.

> 3 dayI ordered the 2TB model for $168 during black friday which was a pretty good deal (especially for how high end this NVMe drive is!) for my PlayStation 5 along with the Elecgear heatsink. For anyone thats wondering, theyre a great combination! Ive not used it at all in a PC but its my understanding that it hits higher speed results on a PC due to how the PS5 just works in general. As an example of how quickly games copy to it, it took 6 minutes and 27 seconds to copy over 457GB of data from the system storage onto the NVMe drive. Very fast!

> 3 dayAs the reviews state, the P41 is very fast, but it runs hot. I also own a Seagate Firecuda 530 1TB, which is in the top-tier just like the KC3000, SN850(X) and 980 PRO. My recommendation is unless you absolutely need the extra speed, IOPS, 4K writes, etc., that this drive offers, I would recommend looking at the Firecuda 530. The 530 runs about 12c-14c cooler than the P41. I ended up replacing my motherboards m.2 heatsink cover with the Acidalie heatsink, which ultimately dropped the temps by 7c-8c at load. Before the Acidalie, the temps were 68-69c during a gaming session for Sensor 1 and upper 70s to low 80s for Sensor 2. After the Acidalie, Im in the low 60s.

> 3 dayDoes not even need a heatsinks to operate under full load. My Samsung drives have been dying left and right and I no longer trust them. Hynix is now in charge of my data :) I Still love bdie ram though.
