> 3 dayGreat boot drive for my Thinkpad P50 Laptop. Made a noticeable difference in my startup and loading time. Make sure you get a heat sink or a caddy with heat sink foam built in. It will keep your new drive cooler so that it does not start slowing itself down. I purchased this Platinum 1Tb because I was so pleased with the Gold Version 500Gb. Thanks and keep making a great product.

> 3 dayThis thing is so fast and has so much space. I bought it to make sure I could have a bunch of games installed at the same time and still get great speeds. Never going back to just an SSD for my main HDD again.

> 3 dayBuild a new rig. My previous rig had a 980 PRO 2TB SSD (which was fine). I was looking for 3x NVMes for my new build and stumbled upon this. I remember SK HYNIX from when I was younger and using a lot of their stuff. I was not disappointed! The speeds are phenomenal and it runs rock solid. Just dont forget your cooler! My third one is coming in tomorrow so I can add it as my 3rd disk to my RAID 0 array. The picture is two of them in RAID 0 in case anyone was wanting to do the same (this is one of my SLOWER tests too).

> 3 dayI have been building and upgrading a gaming pc over the last few months. Everything was great, but I needed more storage. This SSD was perfect for that! It’s the fastest SSD I’ve ever owned, and is a great value for the money. It’s quite a bit more affordable than its competitors such as Samsung and WD, but offers the exact same, if not better, performance. When it came to installing the SSD, I had no problems. Because it’s an m.2 SSD, all I needed was an m.2 slot and a single screw that was already included with my motherboard. So I just slotted it into the motherboard and booted up my system, with zero issues. I’ve installed multiple applications and games on the SSD. They downloaded extremely quickly, and loading times were almost non-existent! On top of all of this, the P41 is a PCI Express Gen 4 SSD, so it’s great for futureproofing and offers insane reading and writing times. Overall, I’d say the P41 is one of if not the best options for anyone building a gaming pc, or anyone else who needs fast, reliable storage.

> 3 dayThis drive is fast, very fast, but i would not recommend it if your using it for a laptop. I had to upgrade the wd pcie 4.0 nvme drive that came in an hp laptop i just bought because i filled the old one up almost immediately. One of my main criteria was efficiency as the battery life in the laptop is abismal to say the least. After reading expert reviews and tests online all saying this drive is fast and very efficient i jumped at it when i saw it for a decent price. I also have experience with ak hunix drives as i have their s31 sata drive in a desktop n i love it. Cloning the old drive over was a snap, sk hynix gives u an sk hynix version of macrium that works very well. I plopped this thing in and immediately noticed it was fast moving a 16gb file at 2000mbps where i only managed 950 with the old wd drive on the same file. But then i noticed my battery seemed to be draining at a quicker rate. To verify i let it die and charged it up completely before turning it back on and letting it sit idle until it died to see what kind of battery life i got on idle. Sure enough i went from an alteady terrible 6 hours on idle with the wd drive to an even worse 4 hours with the p41 in it. When i used the thing it was like it was sipping battery through a straw giving me 1 n a half to 2 hours. I also noticed it ran hot, sitting around 41-46 degrees c most of the time. Needless to say i didnt keep this drive in the computer, instead opting to buy a 1tb samsung 980 pro(alittle slower but runs cooler and doesnt eat the battery so fast) and i kept this one as a backup. Hopefully they fix some of these issues with firmware updates in the future because it really is a nice drive. Unfortunately for right now if your trying to get a nvme drive for a desktop computer, this one is highly recommended. But if ur trying to get it for a laptop, i say stay away and opt for something else unless u dont mind trading battery life for the speed it delivers. In that case have at it
