I use it to keep track of mining rig power usage over the month. Works fantastic, accurate and never any problems. Easy set up easy to use. Works great for me if Im not home and I detect a problem I can just shut the whole rig off remotely on my phone. Also has a night light!

These are great because they handle a 20 amp load very easy set-up too.

**UPDATE: The VeSync app has been fixed. My VeSync smart home devices are working great again! Ive found VeSync devices to occasionally be laggy (switching within ~5 seconds after app button press), but most of the time switching is immediate. This may be because Im using HomeAssistant now more than the VeSync app. For a 3rd party server-based IoT ecosystem, this smart plug does everything I need. Previous post: I have a LOT of these smart plugs. Ive been buying them over the last couple of years to add to my collection of IoT devices. However, the mobile app was updated a couple months ago, and since then its almost completely unusable. Any time I try and do anything in the VeSync app to control these plugs, I get the error: The server is busy. Please try again later. Im a professional mobile app developer, and I know my way around mobile apps and how to troubleshoot them. Nothing Ive tried seems to help. Unfortunately, this means that a large chunk of my smart home is no longer usable. I should have bought the TP Link Kasa plugs and switches instead.

I bought several of these just based on price. They work great and the app does everything I want. During summer months I have fans turning on and off. But I really like the energy monitoring feature. Quite revealing and has shaped my behavior when I can see exactly how much $$ a device actually costs me in real time (TV, computer, fans, toaster oven, etc). Only complaint is that you cant change the wifi network or password without deleting and reading the device and doing so wipes out the energy history. But the VeSync developers have pushed out several updates in last year so their actively improving functionality.

I have the old round ones and they work perfectly but these ones do not. I put a schedule on it but it just turned on and off whenever it wanted not following the schedule at all. I then thought that maybe the schedule was bugged so I deleted it but it still turns off and on at random times.

I updated router and now I cannot connect this device and another Etekcity product. It is a WiFi6 router but has 2.4G channels. Maybe it needs a fireware update but cannot connect it.

I have a moccamaster coffee maker which is phenomenal for making coffee but light on features (i.e. there is an on/off switch). This smart plug can handle the high amperage and wattage, and paired easily with both my Alexa and google mini (I have both, cause thats how I roll). Now, my coffee is ready by the time I get to the kitchen. A++
