Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Premium Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones with Mic for Phone-Call and Alexa Voice Control, Black WH1000XM4

These headphones developed a defect after about 18 months of use which progressively got worse and worse. They make a horrific screeching sound which could literally damage your hearing. It is a known issue which many people have had. I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35s which still work flawlessly since I bought them in 2016. This is another overrated garbage product from Sony. I also bought a pair of their XM4 earbuds which I promptly returned because they had an echo sound anytime you listened to voices or podcasts. (Another well documented problem) Do not buy Sonys garbage products they are overrated with serious defects. I will try and make a video to document the ear piercing screeching sound when I get a chance.

Sound and weight.

We got these for my girlfriend and now I wish I had gotten one too. They are a lot smaller than I expected, so they arent too bulky and awkward. I would definitely feel more appropriate using these in a video call than my current chonky headphones. The noise cancelling isnt 100% but I prefer it that way. It has less of that disorienting feeling.

Got these for one reason. To shut out my loud ass roommate. They are great head phones dont get me wrong, the sound quality is amazing. They just dont serve the noise cancelling criteria I purchased them for.

Can’t say there is really any big cons for me on this purchase. Sony makes great headphones.

The noise cancelation was revolutionary for me because I have really bad migraines. The silence is amazing. On top of that they are incredible quality over the ear headphones. The battery life is incredible, Ive charged them probably once every 4ish days. Thank you Sony!

about the same as the xm3. the pairing aspect is nice and was my reason to upgrade. I couldnt take all the paring issues anymore, and having more control in my phone to move between all my computers was appreciated.

Overall good headphones. Sound is pretty good; comfort is decent although I find I need to take them off after a while to let my ears breathe. I have bigger-than-average ears though so thats a factor.

THESE HEADPHONES ARE A GAMBLE. Is about all i came here to say.
