I use this to feed my barn cats. They had stopped eating their food because shortly after food was put out, it would swarm with fire ants. I tried moving it--the fire ants just found it; I tried setting the food bowls in water--fire ants just float right over to it. I put this thing out and there are no more ants. Period. Its small (about the size of a small dinner plate) but if you can get the dish or the legs of the holder on it (or--what the heck--buy two) you can bid farewell to your ant problem.

I live on the Gulf Coast, and after the pandemic, got his with a infestation of rats. To combat this, I started feeding the feral cats in the area. My plan worked, but ants were making the cats job tough. Ive had this for 3 months now in direct southern sunlight, and its worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this product.

Keeps ants away from my dogs food. We ended up buying two of these platforms, one for the food bowl and one for the food container.

I dont totally understand how this actually works butI have had it like 2 months now and zero ants. I can have another food bowl next to it not on it and it will get covered in ants. I already bought 2 of these and now I am buying a 3rd for upstairs as well. I use it for both wet dog food and also fry dog food. I leave dry dog food out all the time and when I bought this originally it was because the ants got into that. I just love, love, love this product. It works extremely well.

So I was at the point that I would feed my cat and then go do my makeup and within 20 minutes kittys dish was full of ant... dry food, wet food... didnt matter... so it was hard not to stress being out at work as the ant would take of the food dishes and she wouldnt eat. :(.. I had tried water base under the bowls raised bowls, cinnamon/chalk around dishes everything.... I read the reviews and well why not. this worked!!!! I bought two so I could still use her twin holder dish... and no problems... now if a piece drops to floor Ill see ants so I know they are around but nothing in the dishes... I bought one for the fountain water dish as well, havent seen them there.... I have had these a few weeks... (indoor feeding, Florida)

It doesn’t keep ants out of the dog food

It is essentially just a tray, there is no bowl. For $23 just overpriced.

So far no ants in cat food. Very important for me.
