> 3 dayMine is calibrated correctly, just enough pivot tension. Yeah, its big and long, but to get a more accurate angle, 12 inches is appropriate and the heavy construction means damage is minimal, unless used as a pry bar. Dont let the previous whiners and prima donna psuedo craftsmen spoil this tool. On a large baseboard job alone, its worth the time savings. Inside corners can be rectified by a caulk artist, but outside corners are critical. I no longer waste trim, time or guess...

> 3 dayThis Item should come with a magnifing glass. This gauge is microscopic. Also, it is hard to use in trimming those common short wall outside corners becuse of the length of it. One side should be able to slide like a common bevel square. Obviosly, the engineer never used it to trim a house.

> 3 dayAs a finish carpenter for the last twenty years and a comitted tool junkie I am always looking for the next tool that will make my life easier. A friend recommended this tool for doing crown molding so I thought why not? I am finding that his advise is well taken. It works great and I find myself using it for more applications that I anticipated, and it has earned a place on my tool belt.I would recommend though that you buy the leather case for protection, I didnt and made my own but I am sure for the money it is worth it.

> 3 dayThis tool saved me a lot of time on a recent deck job. I love the original 12 ProSite Protractor, but this trapezoidal deck had some tight spots that only this shorter model would fit in. Both tools have two very useful scales which instantly provide the miter saw settings for angle cuts, whether you are fitting a single piece to an angle or mitering a corner. In one step I measured framing angles with the Single Cut scale. The second scale is the Miter Cut scale, which provided the miter saw setting for perfect miter cuts of the 2x6 perimeter deck boards. The tool does the calculations automatically. I am really looking forward to installing crown and other trim with these two tools. Using them makes every joint clean and sharp, and this short one gets into tight places that the 12 wont. Highly recommended. Essential for anybody working with a miter saw.

> 3 dayJust wanted to say that the picture shown with the red face is NOT the one that I received. The one I got has a black face and it says it is laser engraved for accuracy. The numbers all align perfectly.

> 3 dayFinally something that helps trimming a house or wrapping a railing. I have looked and bought other items close to this but they are all inferior. Good job!
