This little light is game changer at least for how I use it. I am a police officer and have been trying find a light for issuing citations at night. Well this Clipmate is the answer. It has a durable steel clip on the back and I slide it into my body armor chest panel. So in the event of issuing a citation at night, needing a smaller light, or even just needing a backup flashlight; I’m set. 1st click is dim setting, 2nd is bright, 3rd turns the light off. If you hold the power button it turns the white light to a red low-light color then reverting back the same way. The light is charged by USB port. So any of your cellphone’s “wall charger boxes” or your vehicle’s USB ports will charge it up. Brightness of light decreases as battery life decreases. Peak high brightness I would say is about 120 lumens. Low brightness is like 70 lumens. Battery life is about 14 hours of use per full charge.

Im a fuel hauler and I deliver to poorly lit stations at night, very often after they are closed and the lights are off. This light is PERFECT for me. I clip the light on the side of my hat, not on the brim as the picture shows. This way the weight of the light doesnt pull my hat forward on my head, and I can adjust the bendy head to point the beam exactly where I look. I work 12 hour nights, and I do 4 to 5 drops a night that may take 45 min each. I bought two of these lights. I keep one stuck into the USB port in the radio if my truck. Its up high and out of the way so I dont bend the USB charger that sticks out of the light. I havent damaged either one of mine yet and had them almost a year. Once I can see that the light Im using is starting to dim, I just switch out for the other one. But most nights I can get all the way thru with just one light. Great product! I wish they would make one with a battery you can change out once it fails. Seems like a waste to have to toss a perfectly good light because the battery has reached its 300 charging cycles. Once I buy my 3rd one I might do surgery on the one thats failed to see if I can install a new battery somehow. These are great lights but if you use them often they dont last forever. At least they hold up for a while tho. With so much Chinese junk out there it is refreshing to find a product that works.

It does not turn off. I have pushed the button once, twice, three times. No luck. I held the button for 30 seconds. No luck.

Streamlight did it again. Awesome product that does exactly as advertised. If it has a con, I am yet to find it and I use it at work every morning.

This is a great little tool. It is meant to clip onto a hat, but you can also clip it on to a shirt or light jacket. The clip is pretty tight so it wont work on something heavy. Once clipped on you can adjust the light very easily and it stays in place. The light has four options. Two white light and two red. Each has a low and high setting. For most purposes you would use the white. It does an excellent job lighting up an area. The red you would use perhaps for reading in bed or a low light need. I dont think I will be using the red option often. To change the color you have to hold the on/off button down for a few seconds. Not so obvious and I found it in the small print instruction pamphlet. One other thing...you get no notice when the light will end because the battery is low/gone. That could present a problem. It just goes out. Charging is very easy. You pull off the cap and can plug it into a computer USB port or use the included charger (nice touch). All in all this is a very handy tool and I will be using it a lot.

It is convenient and gives off a good amount of light but the prong to attach to your jacket is very tight so it wont fit over a coat. A sweat-jacket is about as thick of a material as it can fit over. I use it to walk my dog at night and it does help but not as much as I expected for the price and based on other reviews.

This is a great light to clip onto a backpack or belt when needed. Very handy, very bright with 2 brightness levels.
