Stryker SR-955HPC 10 Meter Amateur Radio

This radio is built to accommodate base station or mobile use. It’s the most powerful and useful radio on the market. It scans every frequency and in between every frequency from 25 MHz roughly to 31 megahertz. And if you’re not smart enough to know how to convert it to 11 m, then you’re probably not smart enough to run it so don’t bother.

After reading other reveiws( the negative ones ) i would say these poeple are too stupid and have no buiz buying or operating the fine as kind equipment...this is an export ham radio...out of the box it will only do the 28 mhz band..if you are buying this radio as a citezens band radio then modifications will need to be done..after clipping the very tiny almost microscopic resistor on the inside of radio..it will open up the bands from 25 mhz to 30 mhz or something close to that effect..the radio itself is bad @$$..adjustable wattage from .5 w to 60 w..great on air audio..styker hit a home run with this mobile unit am,fm,usb,lsb..talk skip all day long with this thing from literaly coast to coast..bells and whistles galore..

After opening the unit up, I was quite pleased to find that Stryker had fix some of there downfalls. For example, they actually used enough heatsink compound on the components that required them. They also did a much better job with there solder connections. Im looking forward to the longevity test, I really dont see any problems, except for the ones I create... LOL

Great radio, read the manual this radio has so many options compared to your common cb, get nothing but compliments on the road. Little pricey but once you work the bugs out and get it where you want it great radio. Ive been a galaxy and magnum fan never had a Stryker but I must say this radio is top shelf!! Thanks Stryker youve definitely made me a fan!!

Great Talking Radio Radio Radio break break break.... got this last night did the conversion in 32 seconds put the cover back on then fired it up.. takes about 1 hour to get used to all the controls. and set things up. The software worked after i got a driver file from another website to make windows 7 64 bit see the usb port as a com port.. wired up a road devil microphone and we were off.. was pegging some locals meters that were 18 miles away base to bade.. talked a load of skip today on 38 and 37 lsb The negative??? IT IS PACKED LIKE CRAP FROM AMAZON there IS NO FOAM IN EITHER BOX NO BUBBLE WRAP NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL THE RADIO BOX ITSELF HAS NO FOAM PACKING OR PROTECTION EITHER... SO YOU ARE TAKING A HUGE CHANCE STRYKER WENT THE CHEAP ON PACKAGING>>>>

I bought this stryker a week ago sr- 955 HP and i need help with the software. i have the cable and my computer is a windows 8. How do i get this radio to PRG. I even downloaded the software straight from stryker website and its still not working. CAN YOU HELP THANKS Adam
