> 3 dayGood radio. It will need a modification if you want cb channels. It is almost impossible to have an effective antenna for HF or CB on a snowmobile or similar vehicle. The radio should not be blamed for the poor performance in a less than ideal installation.

> 3 dayThis radio is loud and get compliments all the time. People ask what kind of radio Im talking on quite a bit. Then say how great it sounds clearer than talking on the phone. I had a Galaxy 99V prior to this one and it would drift all over on SSB but this one is rock solid. Tune it in and leave it. It never difts. Mutilated color display can be selected to match the interior of your mobile. And settings can be customized using a PC.

> 3 dayRadio worked perfectly out of the box. Mars Mod is easy for those experienced with bench work. Everything in the description is accurate. The built in (AGC) receiver will hold strong nearby signals back from over driving the meter (and radio front end) which is a great feature. Some other sellers claim 70 watts, but that is only on SSB with the right note into the mic. The best I get is 60 watts PEP in AM mode which is perfect for my application. Modulation is near perfect and watching the signal on a scope, it is well within 5kc on either side of a channel with nice peaks and no splash over. Signal and audio reports on each mode are excellent from both close and distant stations. I well pleased with my purchase and I do believe this model Stryker has become the industry standard for techs and everyday users. One Note: Do NOT let your tech touch the controls inside when modding. They are set perfectly from the factory and turning anything will only cause you a headache and expense to get the radio back to proper condition.
