This calculator has become one of my favorites, I like that you dont have to worry about keeping it charged like some of the more advanced TI calculators.

This calculator was worth it! It was easy to use and due to its popularity you can find a YouTube video detailing just about any operation you want. I recommend it for statistics. I tried using a BA II+ financial calculator, but it did not have the decimal places needed for statistics nor did it have the ability to show multi-line. The TI36X-Pro cut my homework time down by hours per week. Working a problem on my calculator, I found the TI36x to be 5 to 10x faster than my BAII or the default windows calculator I was trying to use before. I am working through an MBA program and have been out of school for 15 years, so I currently consider myself a novice user. I received this calculator 3 days before my midterm, and it was easy to relearn within that time. I cant stress enough just how much easier this calculator is to use for statistics. It automatically calculates Standard Deviation, Median, Mean, quartiles, etc from a single variable set. It does MUCH more, but that is all I have studied so far. It also allows you to recall a formula you entered previously and change it... great for figuring +/- confidence intervals.

I had to buy one of these for the FE Exam. As a lifelong TI-84 user there are some quirks, but I felt right at home and after a week using this calculator was second nature. Its reliable, relatively cheap, and full featured. My only request would be a higher resolution screen. The European version of this calculator has a higher res screen and its so much easier to read.

Ive owned everything from a free calculator that doubles as a pencil case to the TI-NSpire CX CAS with a color display. Aside from graphing, of course, this 36X does EVERYTHING better than any other calculator Ive used. The interface is incredible (fraction bars, scroll and multiple line functionality), it handles complex numbers like a champ, basic equation solving, even derivatives and integrals? So small but SO powerful. Just buy one.

Best calc to use for FE if you are accustomed to TI brand calcs. I like it a lot, great value.

I now have two of these calculators along with a Casio and HP. I took it upon myself to try all three leading up to my EIT exam. I almost always reach for the TI-36XPRO. It should be noted that there is a bug in the calculator regarding how it handles mixed fractions. Ive never considered this an issue for me personally because I calculate everything to a desired amount of decimal values. Even with the bug I consider this calculator worthy of 4.5 Stars. It is still very odd that TI hasnt attempted to address this issue with newer makes or models. I rounded up to 5 instead of giving it 4 stars. The multi-tap functions can seem tedious at first but consider that youll almost never have to dig through the calculators menus for most of your functions. The pros over the Casio are the multi tap and clearer button layouts and button prints. The Casio button layout and print are frustrating to even look at at. The same goes for the HP. This calculator is at par with the HP except it doesnt require the RPN learning curve which can be significant for some. I see the RPN debate as this...RPN observes order of operation which is the way you calculate. The Ti 36 and Casio inputs are linear which is similar to the way you write. You might write 10 lines of math for every couple of calculator calculations which means the linear input is probably more common and easier for your brain to input initially. A linear input calculator doesnt stop you from inputting calculations according to order of operation either which is where linear input calculators are better than RPN. With RPN you stuck to one input logic. The final Pro for this calculator is cost. I have two of these and will order a third one soon. All three calculators should cost me the same as one HP.

Ordered this for my other half. Said that her previous one lasted over 4 years. No problem and seems well made.

I needed to take a math class called Elements of Calculus. It covers Elementary Functions, Finite Mathematics and single variable Calculus. This is the book

I am happy that I bought this calculator as I will soon my FE exam which requires that I use a TI 36x or similar calculator. Initially, I had a TI 84, and transitioning to use the TI 36x has been easy to figure out and use. Its a small calculator but easy to use. Highly recommend this product.
