> 24 hourThe book is cute and substantial enough and the elf is cute and easy to position. Our 4 year old enjoys spotting the elf in different locations each morning and the idea of an elf flying off at night to report to Santa and coming back before the kids awake each morning is very Christmasy lending a stronger Christmas feeling for kids in the days before Christmas. Packs a very large wallop of entertainment relative to the $ invested!

> 24 hourBe prepared to get an elf with no feet. My granddaughter noticed this and felt very sorry for him. The book cover shows an elf with pointy feet, however, the pictures in the description show a footless elf (so it is not a defect). For the price, this cute little elf should have pointy feet at the end of his dangly legs! It looks odd being footless. (We plan to set out a little pair of elf shoes for him.)

> 24 hourI was happy to find the Elf available from Amazon just before Christmas. It was out of stock nearly everywhere. It came in a nice sturdy box with a cute book. My grandson was very excited.

> 24 hourIt’s a very cute elf, although there are only 4 options, no blonde elves to look like my kids. Also, the elf is pretty flimsy so you can’t pose it very easily, and it falls over if you don’t prop it up against something. The book and story were cute, and the website offers printable adoption certificates and a letter from Santa, so it makes the whole adoption process seem more real and magical. The kids love it, but it’s kind of a pain for the parents. I ended up buying a separate “Elf Doctor” surgery kit to conduct my own surgery on the elf to make her bendable and pose-able. Kind of a lot of work. Wish they just made the elf bendable and pose-able from the beginning! It would make the parents’ job much easier! Also, since the elf is mass produced, the kids notice when the same-looking elf is at the store, another kid’s house, their school, activity facilities, etc., so be ready to explain why (maybe she is your elf’s twin?). But the kids are having fun with it, so there’s that.

> 24 hourI put off having an elf at our house for quite a few years, until finally this past year, one of my sons asked if we were gonna have one visit. So, the Elf on the Shelf came this past Christmas. It was a lot of fun to see the excitement on their faces every morning when they saw what the elf had gotten up to the night before or just looked to see where hed moved. But admittedly, it was added stress making sure the elf moved every night! lol. They like the Elf on the Shelf book, but of course the Elf himself is who they really care about. Im thankful for the plethora of ideas online for the Elf on the Shelf!

> 24 hourSearched high n low for a dark boy because I tend give them away when seen. No more for my grandson. I and he loves it. Thought about getting more just in case, but, I’ll wait. Thank you again for availability.
