> 3 dayI ended up buying two of these--the black 32 gig USB 3.0 version first. I had initially ordered another Transcend USB drive along with it but the write speed was half what this one is so I returned it and ordered this one again in white. So far so good with read/write speeds. They are as advertised which when I compared them to other drives in this price range is pretty good. 32 gigs for under 12 bucks was unheard of just a year ago. I like the fact that the USB connector draws back inside the plastic housing so its protected. When you need to connect it, its locked into place so you dont have to hold the button down to make the connection. The light is a nice touch. Yes, you can live without it, but having an indicator to let you know if the drive is busy can save you from pulling out the drive at the wrong time thus corrupting the data. Transcend memory cards have been very good to me in the past. Its all Ill use in my high end digital camera. Heres hoping these USB drives also continue to impress me with their performance and longevity.

> 3 daySo far so good. I have used this drive to transfer some movies. I am a college student and I rely heavily on flash drives to transfer data to and from school. I am not a gadget expert and I do not pay much attention to other drive speeds. For every day tasks, this drive will be awesome. The build quality is the exact same as a similar sandisk cruizer that I have. Its almost identical to that one as far as case design goes. Great product!

Greater than one weekFantastic little USB stick at a very high capacity. It works perfectly and transfers content to and from the PC with ease and speed. Ive never had it crash, disconnect or corrupt. Although I think for the price and capacity of the drive, the housing of the drive feels a little flimsy, Ive definitely felt better quality. If you plug it in to a port, it seems very easy to push it left to right it gives way to quickly. It is obvious that youve bought it to store lots of information and you would hate to lose any of it. But I had actually given it a big knock with lots of force without it breaking, cracking or even disconnecting so maybe Im just being paranoid. Pros: High capacity USB 3.0 High transfer speeds Cons: Expensive Could be much cheaper Feels flimsy

> 3 dayIm a retired (O.K., semi-retired) I.T. geek and still support a few friends and family who need help with their computers. That being said sometimes its handy to have malware protection or other utilities handy w/o having to log on to download them. Thus the need for a new thumb drive. The 64gb capacity leaves plenty of room for various utilities with room left over for transferring files (if one has occasion to do that). I encrypted the Transcend 64gb using TrueCrypt (yes, I know TC is no longer supported; Im using the last good version (7.1A) and its sufficient for my purposes). The drive has no problem with TrueCrypt and mounts quickly and easily once the password is entered. The retractable feature keeps the USB business end out of harms way, and there is an opening in the other end for hanging the drive on a small ring. HTH Regards, Jim

13-04-2025I am a fan of Transcend brand USB Flash Drives. As a matter of fact, every flash drive that I own is Transcend. I have never had one fail on me yet and I use all of them all the time. I put music on them for the car and movies to watch. I format and reload. Never have an issue. I like that they are retractable so I can put them in my bag with my laptop and dont have to worry about them getting broken. Great brand; I am very satisfied and will be purchasing more. > 3 dayTranscend has always made good products when it comes to convenient, portable, reliable memory cards and flash drives. I only deduct one star because it is hard to see this device in my backpack due to the black color of the body. Otherwise, it works as it should. It is fast, it is convenient, and 32GB is more than enough for my current needs. Transcend is also very affordable, especially when compared to other, similar, products. I would recommend the JetFlash 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

> 3 dayLike a number of USB drives I have purchased in the past and used on multiple computers it seems like half of them Windows does not recognize them as the size that they are. Windows would only format this thing to 4GB. But, when I use Etcher to burn ISOs to it Etcher always sees it as a 64GB drive with 63GB free for use and burns my iso images just fine.....until the drive died after being used around 20 times. Most of the time it sat in the drawer of my properly air conditioned and heated home, so a range of 68f to 75f and no other real reason for it to die to quickly. Never left it in the car and never ran around with it in my pocket getting physically stressed as I moved around. This thing never left the house but now....its dead and will be put in a drawer with a pile of others that seem to have a read/write life of two dozen cycles. God help us understand why SSDs seem to work so well but USB sticks are terrible as are many microSD cards....Kindle Fire, stop destroying those too.

> 3 dayYou know why these arent more popular? Because the casing is pretty cheap and they dont say sandisk or samsung on the side. You know why this is the best value drive on the market right now? because its FAST as heck at small file writes!!! put linux on one of these puppies and smile!!! even on usb2 speeds, these drives work great as OS drives... not much delay and waiting for things to happen, even browsing the web is fine. Run them on a USB3 port and you cant even tell youre running off usb. Linux boots and runs faster than old spindle drives. 13MB/sec at 4k!!! Definitely a sleeper in the dark. I cant find any other drive priced this low that even comes close to these speeds at small file sizes. If all you do is transfer videos and whatnot, sure get whatever drive you want. But if you want to run an OS off a USB drive, these models are by far the best value right now.

> 3 dayStay away from this brand. Cheaply made and dies after a week or two. Flimsy connector becomes looser w use. Buy PNY. Those last.

17-04-2025I like the flash drive since it has really quick transfer speeds. You dont need drivers it just works even on Linux which is my daily driver.
