Weve all had umbrellas that break because of wind. Well, this Trenovo umbrella is made much stronger. You can see the extra reinforcements in the ribs. I havent tested it in 45mph wind as the description indicates its able to withstand. I think, at that kind of wind speed, I wouldnt be able to hold on to the umbrella any more, even with the rubber grip. It has an easy open and close button. Push the button, it opens up. Push the button again, it closes. Then just push it back in to lock in place for storage. It comes with a pouch, but I found it a little hard to put the umbrella back in after openings. Its pretty tight. But, the umbrella itself has a velcro strap to keep it from flaring out. It opens up to 42 inches, which is not on the big side. Its good for 1 person, or 2 smaller people. Its not big enough to cover 2 bigger people.

Does not withstand much of a wind at all but is easy to snap back into position

This is a nice looking umbrella that does what it should. Tried it out today during a brief rainstorm. Its easy to open and close and is wide enough to cover me. There wasnt a lot of wind to check out how windproof it is but its extremely sturdy so it should do well. Im happy with it.

I always get wet closing and storing the umbrella when I get into the car. With this umbrella, I push a button and it collapses. I dont bother pushing in further until I am home. Fast entry into the car which is what I needed. It seems well made and I am not using it in a storm so it fits the bill perfectly.

Really nice umbrella. The ribs are strong and durable. The inside design looks great. Its double lined enhancing Its strength. The sky is one liner then there is the outer shell. Functions as one piece. Auto open and close works smoothly. Perfect travel umbrella.

It is the perfect size to take on vacation or put in your tote bag. The circumference is large enough to keep you dry and durable in strong winds.

This is the perfect size for a one-person umbrella. I ordered it to keep in my car and it fits in the seat pocket behind the front seat with room to spare. It is very compact, yet its large enough to keep one person dry, at least the top half of that person, in the rain. It pops open with the push of a button, then you hold the button down and press the top to push it back into place. It has a handy cover to store it in and the handle has a good grip to it. Its durability is very apparent when you use it....it has more ribs than most of this type, which gives it more stability. It also drys quickly because the fabric is water repellent. Not sure what more you can ask for....great compact umbrella!

We ordered this Trenovo travel umbrella to replace an old one in the car. It’s super-sturdy and folds up easily to a very small form for storage. Black on the outside, but light shines through to illuminate the blue skies and clouds on the inside. Beautiful. The lightweight fiberglass ribs are probably the reason for its strength and durability in windy conditions. Great product and a great value. Bravo.

I’m the guy that either A) loses an umbrella after a couple of uses or B) breaks them. And while I live in Texas where rain isn’t super common, when I need an umbrella - I gotta have something that’s going to last. This looked like it might do the job. I’ve actually had several opportunities to use it over the past couple of weeks. And while there wasn’t a TON of wind, it definitely felt like it wasn’t going to blow outwards or break any of the ribs. It’s also just big enough to be both portable AND able to keep me dry. This is pretty solid, given that it’s all of about 18oz and around ~11in when it’s folded up. And while that’s bigger/heavier than other similar ‘travel-style’ umbrellas, you gain a much more durable piece of kit. Opening the umbrella is easy, doing so by pressing a button. And when you’re ready to put it away, it collapses partially with another button press, requiring you to secure it with a strap and push the handle in. The case you can probably throw away; I never keep them - largely because they never fit the same way they did when they were new. Highly recommend this umbrella. While its a little pricier than some of the others youll find, I think youll have a hard time finding something as durable as this.

The ribs in the umbrella are doubled up and the up and down mechanism works well. I haven’t been able to test the umbrella’s sturdiness in high winds yet. That reinforced structure should help resist the tendency most umbrellas have to turn inside out in strong wind. The inside fabric imitates the night sky for a distinctive look. Once you open this umbrella you will be able to distinguish it from other plain black umbrellas.
