    Greater than one week

Switch quit working after the first few times. (not sure it ever worked) I kept thinking: Is it me? I thought I just switched this thing. Then I realized theres an LED on the front of the switch to indicate which side is on. and no; it didnt switch. UPDATE: After posting above review, I got an email from Ugreen asking if they could provide a replacement. I responded that I had scrapped the defective switch, so I would not be able to send it back for a refund. I was very impressed when they said Thats OK, well send you a new switch anyway (free of charge). Based on this, I received the replacement switch and installed it this morning. Gotta say: It works GREAT. I dont think the other one ever worked this well. Ill keep me fingers crossed and report back if it fails. If no updates, it is working as expected. Changed my rating from 2 to 5 stars

I had a problem with it where both Windows 7 and Windows 10 wouldnt recognize the device. The vendor was very helpful and provided multiple solutions and even a replacement. Finally the solution was to make another printer (PDF) the default printer and my physical printer was able to be recognized. The device is very small and compact. I do wish that all cables were placed on the back, so you dont have a cable sticking out from the front. But its not a big deal.

Ok so I got this so I could control my NVidia Shield and my PC via shared keyboard and mouse. So the problem is that even when I have physically switched it to the PC (and the keyboard and mice are working) seconds later it will switch to the Shield. Ive tried switching cables but it still favors the Shield. Other funny thing is the physical switch takes a firm press and sometimes a couple of tries. Hey everyone, (update 7/25/18) The company reached out to me, Kelsey. She suggested I try switching USB ports and that seems to have done the trick. Now, it only takes one press of the button and it stays on the PC unlike before. Crazy-simple stuff sometimes. Im glad I kept it and the company seems to be rock solid by reaching out and being proactive to resolve issues. Thanks bunch!!!

Besides its quirks (bit of a lag when clicking to switch can make it hard to know if youre on the right device), it works great for my keyboard. However, it completely ruined my DAC (Schiit Modi 3) - the audio came out completely garbled, which was fixed when connected directly to my computer or a USB hub that did not have this switcher in between it. Ive always thought of digital as it works or it doesnt but I guess audio is the exception here. Id say buy this if youre hooking up a keyboard/mouse or something similar with low power requirements, but dont use this if youre trying to share a webcam or audio equipment between two computers.

I have two laptop computers on my small desk. One has Windows 10 and the other XP. Before purchasing the USB Sharing Switch, I was using a keyboard and mouse with each. Now with only one wireless Logitech mouse and one wireless Logitech keyboard operating both computers I have more desk working space and less frustration of selecting the correct mouse and keyboard to use. If I turn on only one computer, the sharing switch automatically connects the computer to the mouse and keyboard. If both computers are turned on, I merely push the button on top of the sharing switch box to select the computer I want to use.

I use this to switch inputs to an Arduino from a Raspberry Pi Uno to an MS Surface. It switches automatically and reliably.

This was a very simple process! The USB sharing switch simply converts data input from two computers to a single printer. Its as simple as pushing the button on the switch. I previously had a dedicated printer for each of my computers, but because of concerns regarding office space, I decided to give this device a try. It meant no longer unplugging, and re-plugging printer cords from each computer into the printer. Works like a breeze, is very cost-effective, and I would highly recommend.

Edit, they saw my review and immediately offered are placement, which arrived within a couple days. Really great customer service, and Ill continue to use the replacement device, and report back if there are any further issues. Raising from 2 to 4 stars because of the great customer service. Original: Worked for 4 months, then the switching button just stopped switching.
