Update: I cancelled return. After playing with I find this a good product except for no USB drivers and software are not available. Easy to program and find the local search very useful. When I go to website stated in manual it says not found. When I look around there is NO app available as stated in manual and product description. What I do find says for Vista, OMG, what, that’s 20 years old? Bottom line, NO APP SUPPORT! Might be good product if you you don’t care about drivers or apps, I can’t say. Returning be a cause above review.

I used this for the International Air Show this weekend and it worked great! It was very cool to listen to all the pilots and the ground crews during the 3-day event. Highly recommend. FYI...it does not ship with batteries, you need 2 x AA batteries.

Nice little unit, works fine but use better antenna. OK for close and strong signals, just a bit weak for lesser signals. Still is a good unit and easy to program.

Works great for Indycar races. Alpha tagging of channels is a great feature so I know which driver Im listening to.

It was great quality although a tad complex to learn how to use without looking at the instructions.

Only works with analog. Most big cities are now using digital.

I’m a huge rail fan and I love that it’s got the different bands already programmed. Needed a little tweaking (meaning locking out spurious signals) and it does exactly what I need. I used it with an external antenna so I can sit in my car and have good coverage. Definitely recommend this little guy.

Perfect for what I wanted it for, a little difficult to use though. Battery life isn’t too great and being US variant there’s a few frequencies I can’t pick up.

Worked great until the police and fire departments in my area switched to p25 phase 2. I used it at work as a security officer since our dispatcher does not always pay attention to theirs. Shame this model can’t be updated to get the new system.
