The SR30C is compact and easy to carry. A learning curve to program it. I ended up watching a YouTube video on how to enter my own frequencies and it is easy once you know the steps. I replace the included antenna with my own longer one for better reception. Otherwise a decent scanner.

I purchased the scanner for my husband and hes having some difficulty only in the programming and use. But after he gets the operation part completely set up and tunes in to his channels he will love it.

Its bad enough no batteries are included but there is no information on the specific type of batteries other than rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries. I would have made a different purchase had I known

I’m a huge rail fan and I love that it’s got the different bands already programmed. Needed a little tweaking (meaning locking out spurious signals) and it does exactly what I need. I used it with an external antenna so I can sit in my car and have good coverage. Definitely recommend this little guy.

I bought this scanner for a NASCAR race to hear the drivers. It worked great and Im looking forward to using it again. It was super easy to program thanks to the PC software that comes with it.

Disappointed with this unit. I bought it to tune in to my local airport while @ home or driving for quick flight. I live a mile away from my local airport and I barely hear the tower or the ATIS. Quality is very cheap. I returned the unit and bought an old Radio Shack scanner from EBay. Much better.

I used to listen to AM talk radio first thing in the morning with coffee before work. AM radio at night before bed. I like being updated on news daily. Since I bought this scanner I have so much info on whats going on in and around my neck of the woods I am kept entertained and into the know. Before it gets in the media! Love it!!! Programing is very easy. I get police, fire, Ham, aircraft, CB, Wilco feed store, and more! My AM radio listening has been cut down by at least 75%. Only thing I wish it was able to receive digital as well. Those scanners are a little expensive for my budget right now. For the price this is a great scanner and am glad I bought it. :)
