Bought 4 radios. 1 quit within the 30 days and 1 quit just after the 30 days. Attempted to contact the seller. NO RESPONSE to request for help prior to the 30 day time frame. These radios are garbage!!!! Dont waste your money, these things will just stop working shortly after installation. And the seller will not respond to your request for help. Your better off tossing your money in the toilet and flushing it. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! These things define the word garbage. SELLER WILL NOT RESPOND but will happily charge your card. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. THIS PRODUCT IS JUNK. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!! Amazon please give us the option to leave negative stars for horrible businesses. SAVE YOUR MONEY EVERYONE. Find another source .... DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE

But there arent a lot of CBers out there so it is hard to gauge the range and overall ability of the unit. But at this point, it powers up and I get enough static and distant chatter to tell me it is reaching out and trying to do its job. Cell phones have replaced CB radios and gone are the days when we all had a CB and loved chatting with friendly truckers! But Im just whining, I also miss my 8-track tapes.

Easy to hook up, Easy to use. Only requires a good antenna and tuning of the antenna. Noise Blanking, Noise Limiter is a Necessity. This one has that and for the price, I dont think you would find better. Great little radio.

This is a very good CB radio. It’s better to avoid all the extra features of more expensive models.

I HAVE USED SEVERAL CB RADIOS BUT THIS ONE IS VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE. IVE USED THE Galaxy DX-939 A BUNCH AND THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE GALAXY JUST HAS A BUNCH OF BELLS AND WHISTLES AND THIS CB IS JUST A PLAIN BEAT AROUND COMPACT CB RADIO. I HAVE THIS MOUNTED ON MY FOUR WHEELER IN A ARMY AMMO CAN. I HAVE IT RUN TO MY 2 FT ROAD-PRO FIBER GLASS ANTENNA WITH TIMES MICROWAVE 4 FT 400 HMR CABLE. IM PUTTING OUT 8 WATTS POWER. A LOT OF PEOPLE DONT KNOW THIS BUT WHEN YOU BUY THIS RADIO, BEFORE YOU MOUNT IT, TAKE THE FOUR SCREWS OUT ON EACH SIDE. INSIDE YOU WILL FIND THE MICRO-BOARD. IN THE MIDDLE YOU WILL FIND 3 NOBS. THEY ADJUST YOUR OUTPUT POWER OVER THE NORMAL 4 WATTS LIMIT WITCH PREVENTS YOU FROM HAVING TO BUY AN AMP. THE FIRST NOB IS RF POWER, THE SECOND RF GAIN, AND THE LAST IS YOUR FINE TOON SQUELCH. SO IF YOU BUY THIS RADIO, MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS TURN ALL OF THEM ALL THE WAY CLOCKWISE AND THATS IT. DONT WORRY ABOUT BREAKING IT ITS SO EASY TO DO IT. ALL YOU NEED IS A PHILIPS SCREWDRIVER. POINT IS, IF YOU ARE NOT A TRUCKER, ALL YOU NEED IS THIS, BUY THIS RADIO!

Hi I recently purchased for 4 Uniden 510XL CB radios for our 4WD Off-road Club as prizes for our summer raffle. My decision was based on my 4 year personal experience of owning a Pro510XL in my Jeep on Steroids and using it under real world off-road field conditions with no problems what so ever. My fellow club members also always comment how clear my radio transmissions sound to them. FYI I use a tuneable 1/4 wavelength antenna (i.e. firestick). We use CB radio to coomunicate between our vehicles while on the trail, often out of sight of each other and rely on them for safety reasons and emergency communication. With 55+ CB radio equipped off-road vehicles I can unequivocally say that Cobra radios are the worst and often dont last two years. We have about 11 vehicles equipped with various models of Uniden CB radios and I have never heard anyone complaining about theirs. They seem to work all of the time. In my opinion you cant go wrong with a Uniden 510ProXL.Its fool proof and easy to operate without taking your eyes off the trail. Its small size makes it easy to install. I also see that the Radioshack CBs seem to work ok too. Deadbear
