Universal Window Seal Kit for Portable Air Conditioner of Exhaust Hose 5.1 Inch Diameter with Coupler Adjustable AC Vent Kit PVC Seal for Sliding Window

Product came as described and has worked as it is intended to do.

The instructions make no sense. Setup is not set explanatory. I cant even use it because I have no idea how to set it up

The hole for the hose to vent through is less than an inch from where the screw plate is supposed to go to attach one of the sliding plates, so the vent has to be at the bottom or at the top of the door, as there is no way to attach both both a plate and the vent. It would be better to put the vent coupler in the center of the panel so that the height can be adjusted using the sliding plates. After struggling with it, I used the black foam strip provided to brace the plates against the door frame, top and bottom; otherwise, it flops around. The foam strip is too firm to fill to the gap between the plates and the door. Did I mention that the foam provided is BLACK? The kit panels are a very light grey and the frame for my sliding door is silver--why would I want an ugly black strip between the two? Fortunately I hase some more forgiving grey foam weather stripping to use. I also used silicone weather stripping tape, which provided a satisfactory seal. Hooray for 3M! The design overlooks the fact that the sliding door lock is right in the middle of where the plates are supposed to go, so I had to work around that as well. Just poorly designed.

Packaging looks like this is a full kit with a hose. It is not. Im not sure why someone would want a window kit minus a hose, but now I have to shop for one of those as well, hoping it will fit this kit, because it is apparently completely impossible to find a full kit that is 5.1 and matches my unit. (The old hose and hose attachment have melted from so many summers of use).

Ordered the wrong size by mistake. It seems very sturdy and useful. Be careful while ordering. I had the right size but something happened in the Amazon app and I ordered the smaller one.

It all seems nice upon unpacking, and packaging is great (suggesting a quality product) but the joy is of short duration! Once mounted, there are huge air gaps everywhere, top, bottom, sides and in-between, and the door lock mechanism has absolutely not been taken into consideration, adding to the gap. Insulation = zero, no matter how much of the provided tape you intend to put up. The hose adapter that clicks into the frame is totally non-sealed, and loose-ish (air gaps). Regretfully, I only unpacked it now, as I have not used it last year, unfortunately!!!, otherwise it would have been a straight return!!! Very very upset with this purchase.

Didnt notice that it had no hose so had to spend another 20 at home Depot for that and the hose was still too big.....good product just should include hose so your not having to find one

Took me a second to figure out reading the instructions, but after looking at the product photos online it made sense. Works great!!! Sturdy and great value! The included foam strip helped close the gaps and prevent insects entering.
