Vacuum Bare Surface Canister Floor Brush, Compatible with Kenmore

I have been using these for 20 years, buying new ones as the bristles on the old ones wear out. I use them in the house and in the garage. On this latest purchase, the holes in the handle socket are in the wrong position, which doesnt really matter much because my pipe can also be a friction fit, but the friction fit is a little on the loose side as well compared to earlier versions, but still functional. I just dont know how a product that has been around for so long can get screwed up by the manufacturer. Anyway, my solution was to remove the bristles from the new unit and use them to replace the bristles in the old head. Heres how: take a wide, flat blade screwdriver and put it in the end of a long edge near a corner. Pry the plastic back from over the corner to get one corner free, then repeat on the adjacent short edge. Once two corners are free, the bristles will lift out and you can put them into your old head using the same procedure. If you are having difficulty, soak the whole thing in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes to soften the plastic.

We bought our son a vacuum at a thrift shop for his first college apartment. The Kenmore was missing the hardwood floor attachment. This was a very good price for a well fitting part. I wish the neck bent on a swivel like ours but this is great for the price. I’m probably delusional buying college boys a vacuum anyway.

There seemed to be an abundance of negative reviews, so I decided to add my input. This little floor brush is exactly as shown and does exactly what it is supposed to. It fit my Kenmore perfectly (uses the side hole). The brush that came with my Kenmore is a little 3 thing that is worthless except for furniture cleaning. The beater brush/hard floor cleaner that comes with Kenmore, weighs a ton and I hate using it: big and awkward. With this brush I may actually vacuum more often!

The bristles are a bit too short and for the price I feel like it shouldve been perfect and these pieces seem to disappear often and as I run a cleaning company I order quite a bit because they do fit on most vacuum poles

This attachment doesnt miss anything!!! It makes vacuuming bare floors a dream.

The brush itself works fine, but the orientation of the two holes does not work for my Kenmore canister vacuum. Ended up having to drill another hole myself on the opposite side to make it work.

Our cannister vacs wand or pipe end measured 1 1/8 outside diameter and this product said it fit 1 1/4 so we were a little worried but it fit just right and hole lined up properly.

I love my new Kenmore 400 series vacuum but didn’t love the floor attachment that came with it when I was vacuuming large floor areas. This was a great addition (covered a little more territory with each swipe.) I delegated the original attachment to upholstery cleaner and am very happy!
