Pros: Easy to connect. App is easy to use. Picture is clear. Cons: As with any wireless battery security cam Ive tested, it takes far too long for the app to load, initiate the cam, and show the picture. By the time I get to see whats going on, its typically over. Plus, the recorded footage is short, only 10 seconds, but seems to take several seconds just to engage. An example: My puppy went outside to go potty. The cam is facing to cover everything from the door out to her pen. It picked her up when she was half way there, recorded her looking off into the distance for 10 seconds, then missed her turning around to find a toad. Theres a mandatory delay in record time, so it also missed her encounter with said toad, and using as a squeezey toy in her mouth. It did record a split second of her running back into the house. Now from her getting sick and me finding the toad afterwards, I could piece together what happened, but if this were a burglar or other serious need to catch all the details, it would most certainly fail to accomplish its job. Ive owned several wireless battery security cams and this is pretty standard among all, so Im not faulting this cam itself, just more warning for those that dont know, do your research and know the shortcomings before getting a wireless battery security cam. If you dont need it for recording and investigation after potential incidents, like you just want to be able to see if someone is at your door or make sure the backyard hasnt blown away in a storm while youre away, then terrific. As for this cam specifically, the picture is more clear than other more expensive cams Ive owned, and I dig the ability to move the view up and down. I want to be able to move it side to side and up and down tho, but you only get one or the other.

I need a security camera to my corridor where there is no close by power outlet, which gets enough sunlight, after exploring a while, I found this camera, this captures perfectly by using solar power, picture quality is good battery back up is good as well, thumbs up for the product.

Initial Review August 15, 2022 We have 10 outdoor cameras around our house. The older ones do not have the PTZ/PIR features that allow the phone app to change the vertical and/or horizontal view of the camera. So Ive been slowly replacing the older ones with cameras like this one. It turns out this is one of the better cameras Ive acquired. Whats to like? 1) The user manual is great. No Chinese to English gibberish. In fact the user manual has only English content. Images are provided where appropriate helping to make things clear. 2) Following the instructions the camera was paired with my phone and operating normally within less than 15 minutes. 3) The camera is solidly built. 4) I like the fact that the solar panel can be mounted right on top of the camera, or a short distance away using the included cable. This allows the camera to be mounted in a shady location while still taking advantage of the solar power. In fact if the solar panel is not getting enough light where I installed it I can later move the solar panel with the extended cable and mounting base. 5) The user interface of the UBox app is easy to understand and use. 6) The camera has a wide range both horizontally and vertically. 7) I like that there is a zoom feature. Yes I know it is a digital zoom, not optical, but still its a nice feature. 8) I was very pleased to find out that I didnt have to subscribe to a monthly service to view video. I believe the monthly service is only if one wants to view video outside of the WiFi range of the camera. I can still review video from the SD card. Whats not to like? 1) Wear ear plugs when starting the camera for the first time. I practically fell off my chair when a very loud womans voice declared the camera was ready to pair. I dont know why that is necessary; a simple beep would suffice. The good news is once it is connected to WiFi there is no need for voice feedback. 2) This is a screwed in place camera which I knew, and which is fine. But Im having a hard time finding anything to complain about. I have another camera which is solar powered that I have on a small tripod. It is portable by just picking it up and moving it to a new location. Whats not to like? It is a little pricey compared to others but I think it is worth every penny. All of the screws and other fittings are included. I highly recommend this camera.

This is an awesome camera. We are able to log on and check on our property in another state. It will alert us to any movement on the property.

I have had this for about 2 weeks now and power is still good. Daylligh quality is great (will post pics soon). Nigh vision is ok. I have this quite away from the router (60 yards) so this pic is not a great night pic but i will put more up soon. Update: Changed to 5 Starts. 3 weeks now and still working great. The pictures are super clear on the app. This is a must have for someplace that has no power.

We bought 3 of these. One has been perfect. The second one is 50/50. It goes off line and you have to manually reconnect it to the internet. This is inconvenient when it is at a property you don’t live at 24/7. The third says it is connected, charged and on but hasn’t detected movement or recorded anything in 4 days. It even shows a picture on my app but not a current, Live picture. I have done all the trouble shooting, and contacted support which is in China and has no US phone number. Via email support has simply repeated the same troubleshooting steps that are in the instruction manual. At this point I may return all 3.

Very clear picture day and night especially with the night vision. Powered by a solar energy panel so very cost effective and no need to external power outlet so literally can be mounted anywhere. Easy to setup, install and hang. Comes with all needed tools/supplies. App is easy to use where u can customize sensitivity level detection and alarm notification frequency. Definitely great value for the money. Highly recommend!

This was purchased to add on to my current cameras and it is amazing clear view and great sound. I was able to add on my same app that I have. I get notifications while I’m at work.

I am very happy with this camera. I installed it myself in the back of my house for the backyard, the install was easy for me. The picture comes out so clear, I am very happy. I am hoping to purchase a couple more soon.
