I live in CA where these trees will leave some sort of sap droplets on your car that harden and make it very difficult to clean off. So I heard about this microfiber mesh sponge and thought I would give it a shot. It works great on glass but it will definitely leave micro-scratches in your finish which cannot be buffed out. I didnt trust anything on my car so I tried this on a small spot first and no doubt, you can see these really fine scratches in the finish. I can find some other things to clean with this Im sure (like my bathroom) but definitely not on a car.

Bought this specifically to clean bugs off the front of my car when I hand wash it. Sponge works great for that. I also use it to clean the wheels on my car. A regular cash wash sponge quickly breaks apart cleaning wheels (rims) but this one has worked great all summer.

Worked well but didnt remove pecan tree sap. Dont know what actually removes that nasty stuff. But it was sturdy and held the sudsy water well.

Great scrubbing sponge!

Used the sponge to get bugs off the car before waxing. It did a great job with little effort and it did not scratch the paint. I reordered two more to keep on hand.
