> 24 hourI am an installer with my company that provides security services both for residential/commercial clients. I must say, hands-down over the years these are my go-to universal junction boxes. Ive tried plenty in amazon and also other suppliers, these by far are my most preferred. They are Metal and sturdy, do not rust and have a good amount of screw patterns for most cameras that i use (mainly lorex and Reolink - bullets). They also have very good weather-locking rubber seals that block the water out and are tight enough only for the cable to pass through (cat5e, cat6, coaxial etc). Lastly, as you can see from the picture they also work with piping, i specifically use these with 1/2 piping. I cant recommend these enough!

> 24 hourI purchased these to provide a way to mount my cameras easily, have the ability to remove cameras easily and keep Ethernet cabling protected. The cover offers a large amount of threaded camera mounting hole configurations. The cover comes with a gasket and mounting screws. The construction is very nice and well built. It comes in white, which is what I wanted, but I imagine you can spray paint it to a color that matches the surrounding colors. I would highly recommend this for a clean and professional looking install. Install: For a solid mounting surface, I added 2x6 wood block above soffits and drilled a 1 hole through blocking. I attached the junction box to blocking. The soffit material was cut to fit around the junction box and I caulked around the junction box to weather seal. Bullet Cameras: Most bullet cameras I have seen, allow you to adjust pitch but not always horizontal angle when mounting to a soffit. Before installing, I suggest you figure out the mounting hole configuration for your cameras and temporarily mount camera to understand camera position relative to the junction box mounting position. This will allow you to figure out horizontal angle of the camera (4 positions depending how you attach cover.

> 24 hourPricey yes, but these are heavy duty aluminum not cheap plastic. Personally, I don’t mind paying for quality. Nice looking, no sharp edges and seem to be weather/water resistant. Worth the money in my opinion.

> 24 hourI wanted some junction boxes for my new Reolink security camera system. I’m using the RLC-810a (bullet cameras) and the number 2 pattern lines up perfectly. I also used 1/2 in flexible, non-metallic conduit to run the Ethernet from the junction ion box into the house. Based on the recommendation of another buyer I bought some top hat rubber grommets and used the hose in the punch out holes. Provided a great way to reduce the size of the hole to snugly fit the conduit. Most my cameras are somewhat protected from the elements under the eaves of my house so I’m not too worried about water leakage, though I’ll probably use a bit of clear silicone to make sure the conduit junction is more watertight. The seem really sturdy and well constructed and I’ve got no complaints so far.

> 24 hourFor three of my interior cameras, I modified regular electrical boxes from Home Depot, drilling holes in the face plate to fish in wires and mount the cameras, then painting them house colors instead of gray. But for the eight cameras that were going outside, I REALLY didnt want to do that much work. These fit the bill almost perfectly, and I wish Id gone looking for them sooner. Overall theyre sturdy in the hand, seemingly made of good materials. (I guess time will tell on that... being out in the Las Vegas sun will certainly put them to the test.) The center holes and their removeable plugs made wire placement easy, however I did have to cut my removeable center plugs so that they would wrap around my wires, rather than pulling the wires through the hole. But thats because I had a big honkin network connector that simply wouldnt fit through the plug hole. One puzzling thing was the camera mounting holes on the faceplates, which took a minute to wrap my head around. These appear to be designed to fit about eighty thousand styles of camera, with mounting holes all over the faceplate. At first I was annoyed thinking that the holes penetrated the faceplates and made them swiss cheese, but they didnt, theyre only partial holes. My particular cameras sat a little low-of-center on the faceplate, which gave me minor concerns of possible water seepage into the center hole. But after mounting everything and looking it over, Im confident water wont be an issue. (This has not been tested yet though.) The one negative I can give these is that theres only two punchouts for conduit to attach. This might not seem like a big deal, but depending on where your conduit is going to run, (left, right, top, bottom), it makes a difference because of the way the faceplate mounts to the body. Because the faceplates already have holes to mount the cameras, and because the faceplates only mount to the body in a certain orientation, that could be problematic to someone depending on how the body needs to be mounted to accept their conduit. In my case it wasnt an issue because I had conduit coming into the bottom, but for someone else I think it could be. All in all its a good product though, and I have no buyers remorse.

> 24 hourNot as universal as you would think. Reolink hole do not match any of the universal holes.
