Works great in my PS5. Easy to install and program. Sad that the ps5 doesnt even come with a terabyte but this helps that issue.

Just threw this in my laptop for more storage, and figured i may as well get something fast.. Benchmarked read speed at 6800MB/s.

Arrived quickly, and the product is VERY fast. Installed it in the PS5 in less than 10 minutes, and reads/writes at 6830mb a sec according to the PS5 test. Loads as fast (if not just a little bit faster ) than the original drive. No general issues, no heat issues, no install issues, no hardware issues. A fast, easy install with no problems what so ever. 100% would recommend the WD black 2TB SN850 drive for a Playstation 5.

Id be much happier if the hard drive controller in my i9 laptop with 64 GB RAM was more advanced. Its not top speed, only 1.7-1.8GB/Sec with huge blocks and way slower with small blocks, comparing with the previous 2TB Samsung, but the size is good for my purpose, very satisfied. Although waiting for Samsung with 4TB or more sizes, then will move it to another laptop.

I watched a couple videos of people installing this no the ps5 and then did it. It seemed easy enough to install. The ps5 recognized it but couldnt format it. I ended up returning it.

I installed this 2TB today after my PS5 console got an update. Used a double-sided heatsink with Minus-8 thermal pads. Installed and detected immediately. Speed test shows 6500MB/s which is well over the spec that Sony requires for PS5. Finally have storage needed for large game collection.
