looks awesome, runs great, but its kinda expensive

I purchased before the update went live and installed day 1 of the new update. Works perfectly. Some games load faster than the base SSD. Dont think. Just buy it. But it, now!

After several disastrous experiences twenty year ago, I only use western digital drives. When the world moved to ssd I stuck with WD. So I was quite excited when they launched their versions of nvme form factor. Now this new ‘black’ series comes around.

I bought this along with a recommended heat sink (MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone pad for PC / PS5 M.2 PCIE NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD)

Tons of more storage and very easy to install. Took 5 minutes, hardest part was taking the covers off the PS5.

I got the SN850 1TB with heatsink after seeing some reviews on YouTube and I gotta say its one of the best upgrades for the PS5 that youll definitely wont regret. Not only does it increase your memory but the transfer speeds are ridiculously fast. Im already debating on upgrading to the 2 or 4 TB. Lastly, the installation process was quick and easy. It took about 5 minutes total to install so many installation instruction videos on YouTube.

Title says it all. Easy install and have had zero issues. Games and apps stored on it load pretty quick.
