This is by far the slowest most aggravating purchase i have ever made. The only thing that makes up for it is its size. I got the 1tb for $100+ my computer booted fast with a traditional HDD, so I converted this SSD to a USB mountable USB drive :( cause i cant let 1tb go to waste. Spend a bit more, get a samsung :/ I never write reviews, but i spent hours installing windows and creating system images... only in the end i reverte back to my traditional HDD and waiting for a REAL ssd to come in post to do it all over again. SSD III SSD III cables It was the drive. dont do it.

Good value for older computer

I do no gaming, so I cannot rate the drive for gaming. But, I have replaced all drives on my computers with this SSD. Our two home computers are used for business and pleasure (not games.) I replaced six drives. Transfer rates are fast, fast. No comparison to the old drives. Prices have really come down. A bargain.

This was so easy to install works great

Unit was dead on arrival. I returned it and picked one up from Fry’s.

If you know what youre doing and you should be if youre ordering this it is absolutely easy to install! It has been working like a dream for me :-)

Works great easy setup

You need cloning software. Then installation is no problem.

My wife was complaining about the slow response of her ACER laptop with a 1 TB platter versus my ACER with a dual 240 SSD/1 TB platter. I replaced her platter with a 1TB SSD and the complaints stopped. As they say, If Momma aint happy, nobody is happy. Replacing platters with SSDs is one way to keep peace in the family.
