You just cannot go wrong with Whiteside bits. I try to use them almost exclusively.

Good price. Cut through my waste board to resurface it with no problems. Ran it .1 DPP @ 100IPM.

I will admit, i just got this bit and Ive only flattened one walnut slab.. that being said, cuts like butter. I would be extremely surprised to find a better flattening bit at this price range that can perform as well. Awesome product!! Would love to try the 6220 when i can.

This bit did a great job resurfacing the spoilboard on my CNC. In the photo you can compare the before (inside) and after (outside edges). Surface was completely smooth to the touch, and no tearout on the edges.

This bit is a very nice bit, but needs cleaned frequently. Im picky and clean this after almost every use if there is a build up of pitch on it. Used mostly for flattening stock in my CNC.

I bought this for stock and spoil board surfacing on my CNC router. This is a very well-made product, and worth the money. My only caveat is that, if you plan on using this on a large piece (my spoil board is 3 x 4), it may be worthwhile to buy a larger bit. A 1 surfacing bit will get the job done a lot faster. Be wary of Big Box MDF when using this bit. Ive twice encountered staples buried in the middle of MDF. The most recent encounter did some damage to this bit.

Bought this to flatten cutting boards and hardwood boards with a router sled and a small plunge router. Works great so far as a substitute for a planer. Leaves some tool marks, but they sand right out.

Surfaced a solid hardwood cutting board with this that was made of Walnut, Ambrosia Maple, and Purpleheart wood and it went to work without a single issue. I will be ordering more of this one when I need to replace it for sure and wont think twice about it!

Once I surfaced my spoilboard I was able to properly tram it. Then I surfaced again and now all my cuts are dead on flat as the should be. This is a got to item!
