> 3 dayWish it could be a larger circumference, but pretty much all 1/4 collets are a 3/4 inch circumference. Did the job (flattening hardwood slab with router jig) very well.

> 3 dayThis bit is a very nice bit, but needs cleaned frequently. Im picky and clean this after almost every use if there is a build up of pitch on it. Used mostly for flattening stock in my CNC.

> 3 dayUnfortunately this bit just didnt last long before it started burning the surface of my projects. I used this to surface pine boards ony CNC and it worked great at first but it wasnt long before it started having issues.

> 3 dayI bought this bit to level and flatten some live edge rounds. I made a special table with adjustable rails and a trough to run a router back and forth across the rounds. The bit worked perfectly in my setup. My only regret is that I probably should have bought a wider bit to minimize the number of passes.

> 3 dayThis bit did a great job resurfacing the spoilboard on my CNC. In the photo you can compare the before (inside) and after (outside edges). Surface was completely smooth to the touch, and no tearout on the edges.

17-04-2025I just purchased a cnc router and needed a surfacing bit for my wasteboard. After doing a little research and asking some friends, they suggested this Whiteside bit. There are other, more expensive bits out there but since Im just starting off, I thought Id give this one a try. Worked very well for my needs and left a very smooth and level surface. Surfacing MDF produces a ton of dust so make sure you have a decent dust collection system or enclosure and of course, wear a mask when working with MDF. For the price and quality, I felt it was a solid buy.
