Wii Play with Wii Remote

> 3 dayAs pointed out in most reviews, the Wii Play Games arent very good. Theyre basically games to teach you how to use the remote. I dont find them as awful as some people, but they probably should have been included with the Wii console. Theyre basic but playable. I didnt buy the Wii Play for the games though. I bought it for the 2nd controller. At its current $45 price, it only costs $5 more than buying the controller alone. In my opinion, its worth spending an extra $5 to get the 9 games. These games are also available without the remote for around $37. It would be insanity to purchase them without it.

> 3 dayBuy this game if you need another remote. In fact, you should not buy a remote on its own if you could get a deal on this game. The game is obviously a $10 quality game, but its well-made nonetheless. The simplicity of the game would attract the newbiest of the gamers as there is almost no learning curve to overcome just to be sufficiently able to have fun. The laser hockey is definitely a multiplayer favorite as it provides endless addiction of trying to get back with each other as you beat them and they beat you back and forth. The billiard is also very nice as it translates your thrusting motion to the power of your billiard stick. The shooting game reminisces of the very old NES duck shooting game, I wish they would just had that whole duck game in there as the version here is way too short. This game quickly replaced our wii sports resort as our multiplayer game of choice that provides simple fun rather than competing in sophistication of wiimoting techniques. However, like the other reviewer said this game is mainly sold for the wiimote, and the games are just slightly more than a demo-like that will last you an hour or two before you get really bored, or hooked, depending who you play with.

> 3 dayLets RE-Lay out the facts. Wii Play costs about 5 bucks more than a Wii remote. The Wii Play remote does come with the soft rubber cover, so you are getting the same product. What the heck are some of these whiners expecting from the games for less than five bucks? It seems like theyre expecting them to perform like one of the high end game$$. I actually enjoy most if not all of these simplistic games and play them extensively with my 7 year old daughter. Yeah, theyre kinda cheesy. For five bucks, what do you expect?? If youve got a young kid or like a bit of cheesy entertainment, this package is a great value. If you are a real Gamer, just get the remote and spend the money on your more fancy game$. After some apprehension reading some of the negative reviews, I do not regret this purchase one bit.

> 3 dayThis game should be packaged with the Wii itself. It is FANTASTIC for learning how to use the remotes. Its also fun if you just need a few minutes to chill. Beyond that it gets dull fast. Played it for hours when we got it. Then I was pretty much over it for good. Oh, it has a nice variety of games, but each game has only one variation. After youve run the gamut youre done. There are no expansion levels, no real options. Kids will get a kick out of it, especially in groups. Just dont expect it to hold their attention long.

Greater than one weekIf you need to buy an extra remote, this is a good deal. Id recommend it for those who are new to the Wii. The games included are really good for learning how to use the remote and getting your hand-eye-pointer coordination down for the real games. Overall the games included are pretty simple and have no replay value other than trying to beat someone else score. In most cases I could see people playing through the 9 games a few times till they get bored of them, then putting the disk away for good.

> 3 dayThe main reason I bought this game was because it was a bargain with the Wii remote. My family and I have really enjoyed the games on the Wii Play. The pool game actually gives you the feeling that you are at a pool table. However, the most enjoyable game for us was the race game. I would recommend the Wii Play to anyone who is looking for a variety of fun games to play with the family.

> 3 dayI have two girls - ages 4 and 7. We bought this primarily to get a second controller but the games in WiiPlay are simple, fun and easy to master. I think the main purpose of the games is to teach the user how to use a Wii controller. Once my girls mastered a few of the WiiPlay games, they were able to play other games (ex: Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz) with much more skill and ultimately had more fun. Their favorite games are Find Mii, the shooting gallery, and fishing. Summary: if youre an experienced gamer, skip this bundle. But, if youre a casual gamer just starting out on the Wii and happen to need an extra controller, Id highly recommend getting this package. Youll familiarize yourself with the Wii controller and have fun at the same time.

> 3 dayAs many people have said, buying this is basically for the extra remote. Many people have said that the titles arent fun, and I agree. However, young children absoloutley love these games, such as my 4 year old and 7 year old. The wii remote itself is $40, so the games are only 10 dollars extra. If you have children then I would definetly recommend this. If not, then these 9 games are not worth your 10 bucks.

> 3 dayA nice set of arcade games, and I bought this to get a 2nd wii remote! There are a couple 2 player games. My 4yr old is able to play everything on here w/out a problem except billiards. He esp loves the cow racing game and fishing. My 10 yr old has no problem at all. Great for adults as well if you like the short arcade games. I think there are 9 of them. They all use the standard wii remote.

> 3 dayI bought this game because it came with the Wii remote (licensed by Nintendo) and the price was right. The games on this disc are fun but they got old quick. They are, however, good for practice using the Wii remote and hand eye coordination if you arent very experienced with the Wii! Great deal!
