Ive used them numerous times to attach my saddle to a climbline/lifeline when I climb (arborist) and Ive used them in a bind for tow hook. Dont be a female dog, dawg. I was not looking for anything for climbing. Instead I needed a heavy duty Carabiner to hold my wad of work keys. This is great! It can be cumbersome to unclip at times because of the lock, but overall gets the job done.
