Bought a used motorcycle with only one key. Went to the locksmith, and all they had were metal blanks. Bought this and took back to same locksmith. I like this key much better than metal key, which I had bought anyway. Much smoother in the ignition, feels better in the hands, and genuine OEM.

Worked perfectly for my 2017 FZ09

Blank Yamaha key was easily cut by locksmith and works perfectly. Anyone who needs a new key and wants an OEM key would do well to purchase this key. The locksmith has Yamaha blanks, but they did not have the plastic Yamaha piece. This may be a little more expensive than a general blank key, but if you want an “original” key this is the way to go.

Key is a 100% Yamaha blank copy. Had the copy made today, it worked just like a new key. No more chances of lost key again.

I bought this key along with a set of three aftermarket keys. I decided to go with the aftermarket keys because for three of them they were less than this one key, I was being cheap. But this key looks like the original key that I already have for my FJR and Im sure I would have been happy with it
