1018 Carbon Steel Round Rod, Unpolished (Mill) Finish, Cold Finished Temper, ASTM A108, 1 Diameter, 12 Length

These steel rods worked great for a welding art project. However, I can save up to 80% buying rods at online-metals with a local warehouse offering will call in my city. So these are good, but much more expensive than local metal shops.

This was a perfect fit to replace my base rod on uberti cattleman. Just polished and filed groves. Factory base rod was .247 and this was .249 after I polished it.

Delivered very quickly and tolerance seems good. Using for drive shaft for a project and this fits the gear and should do the trick.

Saw other complaints but received and cannot see any issues..Product measures at 1.495 inches so Ill take that as temp or micrometer variances...only super minor surface flash rusting in one little spot that came off with a wipe of WD40 and acetone...
