1018 Carbon Steel Round Rod, Unpolished (Mill) Finish, Cold Finished Temper, ASTM A108, 1 Diameter, 12 Length

Ordered two in a row, had to return both. Supposed to be one inch diameter and both are 1 1/8 diameter. Waste of time.

Exactly as described. Completely satified

I used this to make a laid-back bicycle seat post. I bent it and then make vertical supports that went down to the frame to form a triangle. I wanted a lower seat and moved back to provide enough leg room. I weigh in at about 400lbs and it has worked wonderfully!

Arrived on time and as described

Delivered very quickly and tolerance seems good. Using for drive shaft for a project and this fits the gear and should do the trick.

I did not actually end up using this rod. However, it was shipped exactly as described. Definitely very hard carbon steel, in the shape of a rod. Very challenging to cut; I used a cutoff wheel on a Dremel tool and it worked with some minor frustration. If, in the future, I am in the market for another carbon steel rod available in small quantities on Amazon Prime, I will definitely consider this rod.

As advertised

It’s unfortunate I didn’t put the dial indicator on it when it came last week. It easily measures close to an 1-1/16th. I received the 1” pillow block bearings, and was shocked when the shaft wasn’t even close. I’ll have to find a section of 1” shaft locally. Packaging was excellent and it arrived quickly just wrong size.

Its as advertised and shipped very fast. Its cold rolled steel. Needed it for a project I was working on and works well.

This was a perfect fit to replace my base rod on uberti cattleman. Just polished and filed groves. Factory base rod was .247 and this was .249 after I polished it.
